    I can agree that the RNG for many of the cards is simply too low. I can also see how some of the NPC challengers can make people quit TT altogether.

    The development team did a great job with TT and how the game is played, I won't deny this. However, by wanting to keep us around for as long as possible, they undermined the fun of it all with ridiculous RNG, like OP mentions, tedious NPCs and even more frustrating (and on a more personal note) those horrible timed NPCs with random rule and a deck of like 7 or 8 card, 3 of the cards being 4* and above. Not. Fun.

    Would it be too much to ask for more balanced NPCs with a much fairer drop rate? Its as if they don't want us to have a full set of cards for some reason.

    They already removed Random on new NPCs and cards have a decent drop rate now.

    Well, you can clearly see its been a long time since I even thought about Triple Triad. Is there a list anywhere on people who had their random rule removed? I might challenge them sometime.

    On another note, when was the last time you actually played TT with another player just for fun, no tournament matches? TT seems so dead on my server, its not even funny.

    We talking the 3.1 introduced NPCs? Cause I fought the Garlen Miqo'te guy in Azys Lla and it took 4 rounds to get a hand with anything bigger than a 2 star card. Meanwhile he had all 3s, 4s,and 5s.

    Sorry, I meant that new NPCs (3.1 ones) didn't have Random rule on them, not that previous ones had it removed.

    I play TT with friends from time to time, otherwise yeah, it's dead.

    TT's probably dead on most servers because most people don't have the patience to deal with the npc difficulty and/or the miserable drop rates. I've been farming Vault of all places for nearly a week. STILL hasn't dropped. Vault. A 3 star card. Maybe I'm just unlucky but when I see how annoying it is to just get this measly 3 star card to drop from a pre-60 dungeon, I'm not feeling all that good about the exp dungeon cards, void ark, or thordan.

    Yup same here, been farming vault non stop. Still haven't gotten the card. Also, out of the people I know doing daily ex roulettes and arks and stuff, no one has gotten those dungeon cards either.

    The RNG is really discouraging. And it doesn't even make getting the card any sweeter, when it does drop it would be less a "I worked hard for this" and more of a "finally it's over, what a waste of time" feeling.

    I don't know why SE has such a love for RNG. Well, other than to extend content time I guess. I feel like RNG should be used more as a reward for players, than as a punishment locking content. For example, the token system for the current trial is pretty good. You might get good RNG and get your weapon early, but you won't feel dicked if it doesn't drop because you still have your tokens. The tokens gives an anchor so any RNG that causes it to drop before you get it with tokens feels like a discount, and therefore a win. RNG for these cards is just punishment, as no matter how soon you get it, any run where it doesn't drop feels like a complete waste of time.

    you have to do the dungeons about 100 times anyway until the next patch hits, I cant see the problem with a low droprate

    I'm happier when I know the card is rare and I finally get it instead of getting the card every 3rd run and thinking: "oh this card again, discard it because the mgp arent worth the time to move to the npc"

    after wasting my time hundrets of runs in verious dungeions/trials to get the cards and still not having them i can tell you that a card beeing rare does not make farming the same stuff for it again and again any more fun... -.-

    I got the Ramuh card on my first run for MSQ but after that I haven't seen any drops at all.
