spent about 1 million MGP on booster packs so far, still missing 2 of the 4 (5 if you count onion knight) platin cards (took me over 500k to ever see one of them at all)
over 100 runs the aery, no card
over 100 runs thornmarch, no card
dont ask how many runs on each pre-HW trial to get the cards (dont have one from the HW trials yet), and how often i tried to get the cards from the grand company NPCs (still missing all rare cards from them)
and i dont even want to think what i tried to get the odin card..... hahahahahahaha... still dont have it

2 days ago i spent over 200k MGP on mythril packs to get only crap. that was a few months of MGP farming, gone for cards worth less than 400 MGP total (thats less than 0.5% of the cost)
should just have bought señor kaktor from the 200k instead -.-

SE, serious, the RNG is WAY over the top on this stuff, this is no fun anymore!

This is one of the reasons i don't even spend my MGP on card packs. reading multiple story's like you just posted. i honestly feel bad for you and i can't imagine how you keep up the farming of MGP. What the hell is your secret lol.

this is my gold gold saucer todo list:

daily:

• 3 cactpot tickets

weekly:

• jumbo cactpot (got the last number right 2 times so far... yay...)
• challenge log

every two weeks:

• TT tournament against NPCs (for some MGP and 2 platin booster packs... hello lahabrea... and lahabrea... still missing half of the cards from those packs, only getting crap out of it every time -.-)

if i have the time and passion for it:

• GATEs
• minigames
• TT farming NPCs for cards i will never get

i think my income is about 20-40k MGP per week, if RNG is a bit on my side, now with the new challenge log entries

btw, i guess i wont lay a finger on booster packs and day soon again, and to be honest i am also really fed up of trying to get cards with hundrets of runs in the same dungeon/trial. this just sucks, there is no fun at all in loosing to RNG hundreds and thousands of times again and again AND AGAIN

also one other thing: why the kupo are there TT NPCs that you can only play agains for a small timeframe? some of them are fraking hard, and you tell me i can only play a few matches against them before i have to wait an hour for some more tries? WTF? especiall on NPCs with "random (cards)" rule this is really a pain in the behind, serously!! and when i am at it, why are there NPCs with "random" rule at all??? i just love loosing 50 times in a row simply because i got only 1star cards on an NPC with three 5star cards

I don't think the 8k pax contains anything that can't be obtained much more easily elsewhere? Not certain, but I think that might be the case.

Currently at 118/120, just need that 220k cactuar and thordan to finally drop his card

considering they're mostly worthless, I still enjoy the challenge of collecting them all

thanks to the random rule, beating them is possible about once in 20 tries, combine it with the abysmal low drop rate of the cards (and the fact that one of them is timed), i would rather rip out my own feet than trying them any more (i had some hours with them and NO THANKS)
serious, what is SE thinking? getting RNG over RNG over RNG is no fun at all!

Landenel has terrible AI, he's very easy to beat by just showing weak sides intentionally and trapping him. He's much, much easier than the Heavensward Random NPCs, because they seemingly realized how his AI was easy to exploit. Lewena's just terrible, though fortunately you can still farm the trials. It will take less time than farming MGP you need from Mythril, certainly. I agree that it's not worth it to spend the MGP on them.

(That being said, I've spent 500k+ on Gold Packs and Zidane is still elusive. The RNG is terrible, but, uh, not for the reasons you're offering).

I sometimes challenge her for fun (though I already got several terra, bartz, ok knight cards from trials) and I got all of her cards within no time

her droprate isnt a close as bad as other npcs and if you know what you do you can beat her 5-10 times per window, which results in a card nearly everytime

I get full 2 and 3 star decks way more often then 1 star decks, probably your cards are just bad

I own 20 1 star, 62 2 + 3 star cards and 35 4+5 stars, the odds of getting 1 star decks are extremly low, so just improve your deck..
