@SE: When are you reviving Secure 72 man secure?

    Or slaughter?

Are these nodes EVER going to see the light of day again, or are they beyond dead to you? I haven't played a 72 man of either in an incredibly long time.

Can't you have a weekly spotlight for each node? Can't you tell us ANYTHING regarding PvP, please? You guys are always so quiet and leave us in the dark far too long.

No those modes are dead. Even the 24 modes are on life-support. Before they fix this however, as pointed out 1 million times+, is to fix queue time. If I were in SE's shoes right now I would just revamp the whole PvP thing.

And, as I understand it, the only way to get in WD now is to create an event for yourself. I have Qd 10 hours + since 3.0 with just 1 match. To be honest I don't really get how WD could have died so fast. It's just 4 vs 4. It really shows how much the playerbase generally cares about PvP.

How exactly can they fix people not doing it, which is the only way they can fix queue times.

You have to concern here that you dont only just need 8 players for a wolfs den match. Actually the chance that you can get 2 tanks, 2 heals, 2 range and 2 melees out of a already extremely small player pool who queues at the same time is already really low (Especially the healer part). Then you have to concern that the wolfs den system sorts groups by their ranks, and in case your group is ready, but 10 ranks at average higher than the other team (wich is also ready), then the system says nonono cant do that. On top of that, language settings also doing their job here to make the player pool smaller. So you probably need already 20-30 players in queue to get a single 4vs4 match to pop (in an appropriate amount of time).

Exactly, you need a whooping number of 30+ players to queue at the relative same time. omg O_o !! Does that not show the general lack of interest in PvP in this game? I know of all the restrictions on wolves den...

I feel like it's also in part that Frontlines are generally more accessible to the casual PvPer than the intensity of WD.

WD has specific set-ups and strategies that make it more for hardcore PvPers whereas Frontlines is a lot more casual because it involves so many people, and singular actions do not mean as much in the grand scheme of things, which takes a lot of the pressure off.

But in a 4v4 match? Yeah, a lot of people probably get dissuaded from trying it out.

You cant say there is a lack of interest in pvp actually only because nobody is doing Wolfs Den. People arent playing Wolfs Den because lack of interest, they are not playing it because they hitting to many walls (Set Classes, Language options, Rank restrictions, Plenty different Wolfs Den game modes, afk withdraws) in order to get in at all. I know plenty of people wich would like to play Wolfs Den, but because of those walls they can expect queues around 1-2 hours or even longer and they dont want to waste that much time only for a fight wich doesnt last longer than a few minutes. Interest is there, but Square needs to flatten their walls to let people in.

I think I have played a total of two games of Secure since 3.0 hit, both 24-man. I haven't seen Slaughter pop once. The queues are ridiculous even for Seal Rock at the time of day I play (I was in a queue for 7 hours last week, even resetting from time to time, and in the end I gave up and went to bed). 72-man Seal Rock only happens at peak times, I dread to imagine how long a theoretical queue for 72-man Secure or Slaughter would be now.

I actually dislike the old modes because the level sync is so low that I have to juggle my hotbars really awkwardly when I land in them, and they don't pop often enough for me to remember and put together a proper hotbar loadout. I wish they'd do a level 60 version so it could at least be a viable alternative for Seal Rock, even if I did get a little burned out on Slaughter back in the day.

I'm not proposing they bring back the modes without bringing them back up to speed, of course. And I'm not proposing the make queue times even more awful. They would need to have their level cap raised to 60 and adjusted accordingly.

The queues for either would not be bad if you provided reason for people to play them, rather than just letting the modes sit there and die because people automatically jump to the newest thing let out.

If you actually change it up, like I said, and make each mode shine for a week with added benefits like increased PvP exp/wolf marks/esoterics, more people would be willing to play.

Nothing about fixing PvP currently is tough or challenging, but it just seems like with how infrequent updates to PvP are and how infrequently SE gives us any information ever, it feels like they just flat out don't mind if PvP dies.

Trust me, as I much as I HATE HATE HATE 72 man spam-cometeor-fest, it would just be unfair to the people that would want to play it again and for me to play favorites and only want secure back.
