No, i'm not suggesting anything. All I was (trying) to say is the guildhest system doesn't work as well as advertised. Not really trying to tell people to "RTFM".You're talking about trials, not guildhests. Guildhests are meant as sort of a "training ground" for players to experience the basics of party play. It's not the same as single-player duties or trials. Yes, the NPCs do offer directions in those, but like you said, players that don't read or cannot parse the text will not succeed. But you're suggesting they'll stop and read a lengthy guide that isn't even official, before engaging the content? A waste of development time and money. There are already plenty of resources for that.
And I'm not saying people should or should not read guides. All I'm saying is that I don't want the devs to spend time on bringing that kind of information to the players in-game when there are so many other things they could be doing with their time.
On the topic of console players, given how it's extremely likely said player has at least a smart phone, or a tablet, or... heck you can even browse the web on a Kindle these days, there are many ways for even them to read up on guides or watch videos if they really want to do so. I don't need the equivalent to the Steam Community for guides in the game itself.
