Tried of being fobbed off with nothing in this game. Only for people to tell me I need this and that. I have every crafter at 60 except Blacksmith, Which is 54 I think. I have blue sets on Culinarian. But none of this is helping without stuff to make. The game is an absolute joke. And I have unsubbed.
Well weaver has always been a big part of the glamour system ever since glamour came out. You said you have other crafts leveled up also so nothing keeping you from making items on other crafts to make gil. Oh and Culinary can make plenty of gil cause it all consumables they sell for less but can make more gil in the long run.

I don't think the real issue is about gils. My major issue with culinarian is that I'm getting the feeling we're always left behind, like our crafts don't matter or are a subjob. Which it is not. We struggle the same way to get our scrips, our mats, to unlock recipes that are exactly on par with other crafts stats-wise.

Yet the situation is that, every craft had new recipes, every craft has something to invest their red scrips on. Every craft earns a nice amount of red-scrips per turn-in.
Whereas any other crafter's turn in would yield about 25/40 red scrips, culinarian gets only 9 (and another recipe gives ONE red scrip, thanks Patch 3.1, was that a joke ?)
One could argue that desynthetizing fish is culinarian's privilege, but it's not. Just like always, we were left behind. Any other craft jobs can desynth their own creations. We couldn't and had to rely /resign ourselves into levelling fishing, if we wanted to try.

But yes, there are a few "easier" materials to get, and yes, this alone could make us be/look a subpar craft. And I don't mind. But if that's the case, the recipes requirements and gear for culinarian should be available accordingly. My culinarian is ready for 2-stars recipes, it's been ready for months. Yet we got nothing. Except 3 specialist recipes (2 of which are utter crap).

So, I'd like to ask SE what comes next ? we're getting a couple 2-stars recipes when other crafts get a dozen triple-star ? Don't forget about us.
I masscraft top-end food for raiders. I need something to feed them with when the next savage floor is released.

Funny enough, as the title of the thread states "It all has to do with balance". Since Alexander Savage is still being tackled by a huge portion of the community who have yet to even clear A3s in some cases, and Echo likely not to arrive until 3.2, if SE released 2star food/pots alongside 3.1 it could have been considered as them nerfing content (which is likely too early for SE).

Food recipes have always been 1 patch behind the other classes. This has been a common trend ever since 3star recipes were released. I think the main issue why CUL is always left behind a cycle is due to Raiding. SE doesnt want to provide too many overpowering options when it comes to Food/Potions. This is the reason we didnt get Max Ethers/Potions until now. It's also the same reason why SE have yet to release any Draconian Poison imo.

CUL and ALC have an advantage over all the other classes in the sence that their recipes never get old (friends who still buy Buttons in a Blanket!). They have a constant supply of materials and customers. Food and Potions have become a requirement to all static members when joining a raid group. They are Essential to progressing through the Raid tiers.

So long story short, the 2star recipes are coming, just 1 patch cycle after the rest of the classes (3.2) in order to prolongue their content as well as prevent balancing issues. When you look at it this way, it starts to make sence why CUL and ALC are always 1 step behind.

Oh you're not the only one whose way of making money was ruined. I was earning comfortably making AF augmentation items. With the new update, retainers now give them away like candy. Prices have already dropped more than 50%, and it's only been a week. People barely wanted them to begin with. I don't understand the logic behind saturating the market even more.

Dude what. Culinarian is wildly profitable. You have to make a ton of food but it sells constantly. Yeah, you can make a 20m weaver dreadnought that someone will buy once. Or you can make a 50k meal that someone will buy every half hour.

Widely profitable if I sit there and spend 24 hours a day repeatedly crafting, And it's still no excuse to give us no new crafts and give Leatherworker and Weaver the rest.

The fundermental issue in this game is fun, And to be honest. It's a race between who can be the most bored.

I'm never gonna get a fair crack at this game, I'm always going to be 5-6 steps behind. So whats the point in me even continuing. Just a complete waste of money, and 11 months of my life.

You're never going to get a fair crack in this game that...does absolutely everything in its power to keep the barrier of entry so low that the only way to stay behind is to literally do nothing ever.

    :|

There's no helping you, man. You've been this way for months. You're not happy.

I'm not trolling you when I say you just need to go. You need to stop getting angry over a game that does nothing but try to give everyone something. You need to quit, and this time stay quit, and find another game to play.

At this point, you're done, and you're just dragging everyone else down with you.

Go. Have fun somewhere else. Seriously, you need it.
