Why CP Is King - 1-Star 35 Dura Rotations

    Edited for better clarity

Hi Everyone! I know a ton of people aren't particularly happy with Crafting in 3.1, and I plan to do an analysis of it some time soon, but in the meantime I've been brainstorming some rotations for the 1-Star 35 Dura recipes. My rotations plan for 0 ToT (RNG is a cruel mistress....) and each one has a guarantee Progress phase (Assuming you have the required stats).

The first rotation requires 449 CP and can be completed with the absolute minimum Craftsmanship, though a decent Control rating is essential if you want a good HQ chance:

Bare Minimum Stats: 620 Craftsmanship, Variable Control (700+ Recommended), 449 CP
Be advised, I have not personally tested this at the Bare Minimum Stats

With enough Craftsmanship (At least 845 as Caimie pointed out) you can modify the same rotation by adding an additional HT after INGII and removing one of the CSII in the finisher:

Bare Minimum Stats: 845 Craftsmanship, Variable Control (700+ Recommended), 449 CP
Stats shown are my own and not the Bare Minimum

This was my go-to rotation up until something blueruckus said got me brainstorming again....

I have never really considered the Name+Brand combos for Endgame Crafting, however the ability to cut down Progress to a single step caught my interest and I started theory.....Crafting. Thus, a new rotation was born, and CP's position as King of Crafting Stats remains....

Bare Minimum Stats: 623 Craftsmanship, 636 Control, 470 CP
Be advised, I have not personally tested this at the Bare Minimum Stats

With a requirement of 470 CP the cost of this rotation is extremely high, however it is stable even with extremely low stats. This rotation stretches the limits of what can be done with proper CP usage, and although the Bare Minimum Stats shown require a perfect rotation in order to 0-100%, I wanted to demonstrate how insanely low your Craftsmanship/Control can be and still have a chance to HQ.

With at least 857 Craftsmanship (As blueruckus pointed out) the same rotation can be completed with a single Name+Brand combo, allowing us to drop the CSII at the end and squeeze in another HT:

Bare Minimum Stats: 857 Craftsmanship, Variable Control, 470 CP
Stats shown are my own and not the bare minimum

Thanks again to blueruckus for the info and let me know what you guys think!

    Nice rotations!

Just a minor thing I picked up...

For your second rotation, the completion method used there is
    CS II
    CS II w Ingen2
    CS II w Ingen2
I think the minimum craftsmanship is 845 for it.

    If using
    CS II w Ingen2
    CS II w Ingen2
    CS II w Ingen2
Then one can have craftsmanship around 725 or lower.

The 840 Craftsmanship in your description there between rotation 1 and 2 is kind of odd... If it refers to your rotation 1 removing 1 CS II, then it just needs 725. If it refers to rotation 2, then you actually need 845.

Cool stuff. I've been playing around with ing2+name+brand on older 3.0 HQ macros and I'm liking what I see.

Thank you for the insight! I've edited the post for more clarity, but the second rotation you're referring to is just a modification of the first rotation for those who have a high enough Craftsmanship.

The unbuffed CSII near the beginning of both versions of the first rotation is there because if it wasn't we would otherwise waste a Manip stack since SHII>WN>HT>HT>HT>HT leaves us at 15/35 Durability and the 3 steps following Manip do not use any Durability (Manip>CZ>SHII>WN) so we need space for a full 30 Dura to be renewed.

Thanks for posting this Sollux. This actually lead me to my preferred macro which is a hybrid of your approach and my own. Note the below macro requires around 800 Craftsmanship and 441 CP. Note you can notably decrease the craftsmanship by using Ingenuity 2 in which case the macro will require around 700 Craftsmanship and 449 CP. This macro has a 70-80% HQ rate. Note Byregot's has no SH... this is intended. The macro is designed to be CP efficient. In this case I can execute the macro with CP +20 food. So I can just lazy craft the 1 Star 35 durability with cheep food. Also you can save 8 additional CP if you use Manipulation (but it requires one extra cross class slot which I don't use).

    Food 40 1* Start:
