Tanks&Healers; please focus on Role first, then DPS

You can tell all the tanks who want to DPS because they play DRKs or WARs. Those are the people that probably didn't really want to be a traditional tank anyway. PLDs are the only real tanks. PLD 4 lyfe, brahs.

Er. I rock strength accessories and drop Shield Oath like a bad habit given half a chance.

PLD may do less damage than the other two, but nothing says we can't push our DPS limits.

Also, the reason why healers and tanks push DPS is because that's because DPS whine. DPS can't do their job so they need tanks and healers to supplement. WARs, DRKs, and SCHs are happy to provide the DPS while PLDs, WHMs and maybe ASTs wanted to actually do their role of tanking/healing respectively.

When you're talking about endgame content, you get to a point where your DPS physically cannot put out any more damage. Since you can't squeeze any more blood from that stone, you have to find somewhere else for it to come from.

When you're talking about dungeons, yeah sometimes you get that horrid DPS that does less than the PLD. :|

Nah, brah. I already know how DRK works. They're the "tank" class that listens to Hawthorn Heights in a dark room while cutting themselves to get power. Why anyone would want a tank class like that is beyond my understanding. PLD on the other hand is THE tank class that stands at the forefront of society. Standing up to all evil with a sword in one hand to deliver justice and a shield in another hand to protect all he cherishes from harm. PLD is the type of class that your parents tell you they're proud of you while DRK is the type of class that your parents just sigh and wish you would move out of the basement.

You can blame the current endgame meta which forces tanks and healers to focus more and more on dps. That in savage most tanks have to spend most of their time in their dps stance and healers have to be in clerics whenever possible because they made the dps checks so high that forces both roles to basically be dps who can take a hit and dps who can also heal on the side.

Before trash talking people about trash talking other classes, why don't you go learn how they actually work? Sibyl has more Tanking experience in her right hand than you have in your entire body. And, while her delivery of the statement wasn't ideal, she is kind of right. When it comes to what a Tank usually is in an MMO - a Traditional Tank - Paladin comes closer to that than anything else in the game, whereas DRK/WAR are the oddballs. It could even be argued that PLD and DRK/WAR were designed for completely different metas.
