    V materia

So SE said they weren't going to have tier V materia at start of 3.0 but at a later date so people were like they will probably have them in 3.1 well 5 months later and 3.1 has come and still no tier V materia. Now you can get it from the goblin through transmutation but I heard it like 99% chance you won't get a V materia though. So does SE have any plans on putting V materia in the game that people can actually get without using the goblin that more then "at a later date"?

Battle Tier V are quite available now by collecting spoils in Diadem or by spiritbonding the crafted i185 sky pirates gear (made from mats from Diadem as well). But still we have no sign of crafting/gathering Tier V yet :/

It's just not practical to spiritbond any i170 crafting gear/tools for materia at all, and we don't have any obvious alternatives yet...

You mean using 5x V tier combat you won't get a V tier craft?

Sarcasm? But if not yes you can get T5 materia from mutinix either use five Tier 4 materia and getting very lucky or using five T5 materia and still getting lucky that it turns into gathering or crafting materia. Either way the availability of T5 materia for crafting or gathering is a fraction of that of combat materia.

Still better than the 0 availability and paying 5 million for one, on Leviathan.

I think less than dozen total EVER sold. And there are more lv 60 omnicrafters than that.

Aside from transmutation, spiritbonding rate is quite fast within the Diadem, so it's possible to convert Astral Birch and Griffin Leather jewelry and hope you get Tier Vs out.

Thing is, given the time investment between farming Favor mats (either via Ooids or Spoils), crafting the accessories, actually spiritbinding them, and hoping that you get a Tier V out (assuming it's probably only a 40-60% chance of converting to a Tier V, kind of like how it was for Tier IVs back in the day), it's still far too labor-intensive of a cost for most people to consider.

I'm fairly certain this is another thing which shows that crafting takes last fiddle in SE's list of important things. Even mini-games that no one plays get more attention.

Do we know for sure that the two star 170 crafted gear like astral birch rings give V materia? Has anyone done this to give confirmation?

Unconfirmed AFAIK, but it is known that crafted DoW/M gear as low as i160 can convert into Tier Vs. Therefore, I'm inductively assuming that the DoH/L gear works the same way.
