I'm sure they have, otherwise how would they of found out they could not enter the house...you have to enter the house to your room.I mean this in the nicest possible way, but have those affected members tried to get into their room? My FC has a 'joke' rank we (I) use when someone does something monumentally stupid which has 0 permissions (including denying Estate Hall access). However, even though the rank denies you Estate Hall access, if you already have a Private Chamber you can enter and leave the Estate as you please. And again, despite having absolutely 0 permissions on the rank (everything denied) I'm able to move/remove my furniture within my Private Room as I please despite having the rank in question.
Friend/recruitment code for special items and things (use before paying first sub) RACN78W5 (updated) info on items here http://sqex.to/Cz9 code is entered via the mogstation.

You should be able to enter the house without Estate Hall Access if you own a Private Chamber in the estate.
Like I said above, I've done this before (without the ill intent displayed by this other guy) and the above has always held true.

Yes, however you are unable to clear out your furniture, which makes you cannot leave the FC. Assuming this is the same issue floating around tumblr, the FC is attempting to blackmail people into making her all sorts of items or she's flat out refusing to change permissions. Thus far, GM responses have been incredibly unhelpful, though I suspect they just don't realize the FC leader in question has managed to find a loophole in the system.

You can remove furniture from your Private Chambers without Estate access. The only thing I haven't put back in my bag w/ 0 privileges while in my Chambers are furnitures which would be destroyed in doing so (which is a completely separate issue imo). Nor have I actually tried to vacate my chambers because... well.. I have a few Coil and CT furnitures I'd prefer not to lose by doing so.
Whatever this guy or gal is doing is pretty reprehensible, but I'm trying to figure out where the loophole is exactly by emulating the situation and have thus far been unable to find it.
Again, if people are concerned about their destroyed primal/raid furniture that's a separate issue imo and not directly a problem with Free Company privileges but with the Housing system at large.

I don't think people actually cared about their furnishings so much, they just wanted out.You can remove furniture from your Private Chambers without Estate access. Perhaps, can you explain the steps that you took in order to remove furnishings without access? I don't believe I've ever done this before and perhaps this is something that did not occur to people. Screenshots/step by step would be most helpful.

Sure thing, I'll edit these screenshots up real quick to remove chat log / names of people who aren't me and post them in an imgur album.I don't think people actually cared about their furnishings so much, they just wanted out.

EDIT: This is largely unnecessary now since it's what Lurial said. I don't think it was clear before all the steps the FC leader in question did to deny access to the Estate (since the actual Estate Hall Access can be circumvented when the Estate is open to Guests).
I also want to reiterate I wasn't trying to diminish or demean anyone affected by this but to accurately figure out at what point one could feasibly hold people hostage since previously I didn't believe such a thing possible (but during all of those tests I did, the Estate was always open to Guests).

No worries, I don't think you were at all. I was hoping that perhaps you had a way to actually get through it in case it happens again (before a fix) and people need help. Unfortunately, it seems there is no respite for those who have a leader wanting to keep people in an FC against their will. Until we get enough exposure and someone can comment or raise the issue...
