Smartass Tank

2 pieces of advice, 1) don't answer the "too soon", just ignore it. Its good you are paying attention to the text window, but they don't have to know you are actually reading it in combat, they called LB but thats nothing but a reminder under their own playstyle, you are the one to execute it anyway, so do it under your own judgement. :v

and 2) vote dismiss that kind of guy for harassment... (and report as well) :/



On topic: yesterday Qarn HM was terrible... the part were there is this trash mob... a giant head with 2 hands. Was bugged in the sense that the hands would trap a player, but they would never get locked along with them, they would jump to another player randomly, promply locking the whole party in place and not able to move... hence a wipe and impossible to pass, so we had to abandon duty...

Then a few minutes later tried the lvl 50 roulette once more... and the DF gave me Qarn HM one more time :|

Had to eat that penalty.

He's right, the sooner you use LB the faster you start building it again for another LB. He was a bit rude in conveying that message but he's still correct.

Me (BRD) and my friend (WHM) queued for Pharos Sirius HM and got in with a tank and a ninja. Ninja said he was new, so I said so too.
After getting out of the cutscene, the tank said commented that I should just watch the five-second cutscene on youtube (really???) I said no, it's my first time. Tank threw a fit and asked to be kicked.
We said no, and sat around for a while... after about five min he asked to be kicked again. We all said no again.
I'd like to mention here I don't mind wasting people's time who don't like just abandoning the duty themselves. I have other things to do, I don't care.

Anyway my friend said we should try it anyway, so we all went off without the tank. Two wipes later, we had beaten the first boss with no tank. Of course the chest drops tank gear.

At that point it had been fifteen minutes so the tank tries to Vote Abandon. We ignore him.

Eventually the tank either got fed up and left or the AFK timer kicked in. Honestly don't care either way. Got an FC friend to tank the rest of the dungeon for us.
We gave our comms to the ninja who was such a nice guy...going through all that with us. He could've easily left at any point but nope

Yesterday, I helped a FC member try to unlock the level 50 roulette.. 4.5 hours of dungeons. He was a war, we had a FC whm (who had never healed before), and I was on bard (my lease favorite job).

We mostly got first timer DDs, and while some were fine, others were terrible. I tried to help a blm in satasha hm.. Rotation was b3>b3>b3>f3>b3>t3 on mobs.. They were OK with me giving advice, but did not implemen it well.

Qarn hm and its overly touchy hands was the end of the road for me.. Went afk for dinner. Had to do level 50 roulette this morning, and got a first timer hm for pharos nm.. She blew up for the first 3 bosses. but no wipes and spirits were high

Only if the goal of playing is to kill everything as fast as possible.

Other valid goals, sometimes more valid, are having fun and relaxing. Under those goals, he's not automatically right.
Especially since it was a normal dungeon and not an 8-man raid or EX fight. The "other goals" come into play a lot more.

You should've said ok and /afk'd for 5 mins while you search youtube for that 5 second cutscene :P

If by fun and relaxing you mean "we'll never see a gold chest, but at least we're having a blast!"
