Is it unreasonable to seek people at the part of a fight as you are?

They may be fast learners, they may only wipe once then see "Oh thats how its done" and be on your level next step. It's worth at least giving them a shot to prove if they are fast learners.

Or they may be aweful and take 5-6 tries to learn it (I still can't figure out how people die on that part after seeing it once.) I udnerstand that people want to be given a chance, but there are plenty of options - creating your own PF for it, or likewise joining one of the -multiple (There was actually a phase 1 learning party up when I had one complain at me) are options available. :/

Like I said, give em a shot. If they die once, take it as a learning turn, they die again then they obviously are not a fast learner and are removed. :P

That's asking to waste 10~-15 (depending on time between pulls / entry /etc) of everyone elses time and is extremely discourteous to the others I am trying to get through the phase we are wishing to learn.

Not only that, but you're also potentially losing 20+ minutes (POTENTIALLY) because of the fact that you're filling up a spot that someone with the appropriate experience could've filled that spot.

Basically you're ultimately wasting anywhere from half an hour or more of seven other peoples' time.

I understand the wish to help others, but I do not think it unreasonable to gate those who have not seen X yet. If I hate to wait for an hour to get those people, I'm perfectly fine with that. My goal is to complete a task we head in there to complete.

There's no problem with not wanting to wipe in the first few minutes every time you put up a PF. PF exists for a reason, to get a group going for exactly what you want. The people completely new to the fight can make their own instead of complaining about restrictions.

I'm honestly not saying you have to, but your not really going to see much change. Until you try to do a clear only and ask for proof of clear, your gonna be kinda SOL on finding honest people who are going to be up front with you about it.

Absolutely nothing.

But that also won't stop me from blacklisting them when I see they can't handle X mechanic that's before where we're at. That's why I'm glad that most of these people are at least honest - I dont' wanna blist someone who shows integrity, and I have much more respect for that.

By the way, that is NOT something I would do, but as far as I know it isn't against the terms of service. I know booting them from the PF and blacklisting them isn't. If anything is against the ToS though, it's the in-game witch-hunt. When I join a learning party, I'm more than happy to deal with people who aren't where I'm at. When I create a learning party, I just say "Learning party" too.

It's your party finder, sure. But that's quite a disservice to anyone who's just getting home from work or school and wanna learn the fight. This is the exact same thing the JP playerbase was giving the NA players shit for.

The difference between the playerbases is that JP players have a sense of honor and respect. They don't go to a PF for middle of a fight if they don't know a thing. They don't come and insult people, they don't want to sully their own and their friends' names. Westerners like to hide behind their anonymity and do nasty things, they don't handle their MMO identity with the same care as their IRL one.

lame. you're asking for validation on this but i have none to give. try this again in 1-2 weeks plz. Otherwise, expect to be called out on it and stop complaining about it.

It is a very rude thing to do in my opinion, but I fully advocate it. It's your PF. I would rather just start teaching people so I have more people to farm with down the road, and not get an elitist reputation. It's reasonable that you'd want somebody experienced. But it's unreasonable on a day when people might not have even had the chance to be on. And you said it yourself, 2-3 times to learn it. Plus that player might be better than somebody else. You're limiting yourself, not others. But go for it man

Though I said it was a rude thing to do I want to point out you didn't do it in a rude way, lol. But that would personally put me off, like "wow, that guy isn't a douche, he's a reasonable douche (arguably worse)."
