    RE is a special case because RE is actually supposed to be a spin on silly zombie B-movies and so the bad voice acting plays to that image perfectly. The plot is absolutely ridiculous and the ridiculous voice acting only complements that. Compare to most evaluations of Silent Hill 2 where you'll find nearly everyone thinks James sound like an idiot the entire game (but overlook it because the game is so excellent otherwise)
