Race specific gear and quests

Ya I agree with the OP, giving each race special quests/gear would make each race a little more unique and fun. You could even make it where to get the race specific gear you had to do a race specific quest and you could do several different ones to unlock a full set, then have it where if you wear the full set it gives you a stat bonus that works for your race, like lala's get MP boost or highlandes get HP boost or something like that. Just my thoughts :P.

You do get racial specific gear. They're called 'undergarments'

But yeah it'd be fun to have proper clothes that were racial specific. I only dare to imagine what miqo'te would wear though, probably hot-pants and bikini top XD

Race gear was relevant to FFXI, but not to XIV. The purpose of that gear was to give stats in areas that race was lacking. It wouldn't make sense in this world because there is no reason for it and the racial differences are very minimal.

SE seems to want to keep all races equal, I don't think we'll be seeing any race-specific gear any time soon. Quests maybe, but not gear.
