There's no way in hell I'm pulling more than one mob at a time in the DF. I have no idea how capable they are and will take it slow and easy but I'm game for big pulls if they ask first, usually means they're confident enough to give it a shot and it makes me more confident to do big pulls if everyone else is able to handle them too. That said, waiting a whole minute before every pull is overkill, I usually wait for everyone's TP and MP to be at about 70% before starting a trash pull and at max before pulling a boss.

But yeah, generally, I'm not going to be confident in other players unless they're confident in themselves.

Curious as to what is preventing those who want to speed run from tanking themselves. There is nothing stopping you from leveling a tank. Likewise either you or the tank is free to leave if you don't like the pace. And if the tank leaves there is a chance that you will get a tank who will play up to your expectations.

I don't always tank because I like to know at least one of the dps is competent. I do not pull as a DPS though if the tank is just not doing big pulls but isn't afking for a while after each pull or something, doing so is just childish and rude. If the tank is afking, chatting a lot instead of pulling, etc, I may or may not try to help things along.

A tank doing small pulls when they should be doing bigger ones is annoying, but I'm not going to be an obnoxiously frustrating person by pulling if they're moving along with their pulls.

Alexander 3 is EXTREMELY like this, i have had 1 out of at least 20 runs where both tanks run off before the healer even could cast protect.

Hell I once even said please wait "30 seconds, just changed class" and the tank immediately starts running like a madman.
It's safe to say we wiped on the first thrash mobs because "Surprise, surprise" I couldn't even cast a heal yet!
In which i got the response "HEALER WTF?! WHY U NO HEAL?!", in which my response was "Why didn't you read chat, nor wait for everyone to be ready?"

I like fast runs, really I do, I can solo heal Everything up to Alex 4(Normal), I have no problems with fast runs or big pulls.
But running ahead of the group like an blood crazed idiot while people are still preparing? That just makes you a bad tank.
And by preparing i mean normal dungeon/trial preparations. summoning pet, Protect, Etc.

There is no need to do this inbetween each pull so in short; no need to overdo that either.

I am not a bad tank, in fact, I usually don't have issue with more bobs at once.

My point is I should be the one getting them and not the others just because they want ultra fast clear. I like taking time and not having a cluster hell in front of me. Why people needs to always be super fast with everythings and not actually enjoy the game? Playing a game or a MMO shouldn't be at any time a chore.

Peoples seems to forget that video games is for fun, not stats/numbers.
Doing Neverreap for the first five times was sorta fun.

Doing Neverreap for the next fifty times gets old.

By the time we got to the 100th Neverreap run ....with stronger gears, and how fast we can kill trash monsters, we just want to get it over and done with as quickly as possible.

    In other words.

"Like omg yay, Neverreap. Boy I can't wait to take this dungeon as slow as possible so I can savour and enjoy every single moment of this fantastic place!" Said no players ever!

Especially as a summoner who is very, very well at killing a crowd pretty fast.

If you're queuing solo on EX Roulette, guess what? Chances are you're going to be paired up with fresh 60 players, first timers, laggers/dcers, drunks/stoners or people who just want to take it slow and easy; deal with it or make some friends who would be happy to do things your way.

Your self-entitlement to the perfect quartet of apocalypse is forfeit the moment you queue alone and uninsured.

Obviously won't do it in dungeons I know the tanks can't handle, there is absolutely no reason to wait 1 minute before every boss, your skills are going to refresh during the battle.
    gimme a ninja high five!

those slow tanks deserved to get dissed for wasting our Huton.

If you want to take it slow and easy, consider the gear the rest of your group is wearing. If they can handle big pulls, consider doing so. If they are under geared, then take it slow. It's your job, and quite honestly nothing more annoying than a slow tank.

For clarification - this doesn't mean that I think it's okay for someone to run ahead of you and pull mobs. The rule of thumb is to follow the pace of the tank, which is determined by the gear that not only the tank is wearing, but the rest of the group.

TLDR: Geared Group = Big Pulls. Undergeared = Small pulls. Not cool to pull ahead of tank, but if they are that frustrated with your speed you may want to consider why they might be doing so.
