Mhmm. Funnily enough: Here's a thread noting the problem from back when darklight was "in". Most of the people there are doubting the person highlighting the problems with shroud but then as we got to SCoB and FCoB, more and more people started noting the problem of SoS being static, meanwhile SCHs basically had unlimited MP because Aetherflow scales.

OTOH, SCH's energy drain does not scale. So now both healers have a scaling MP return and non-scaling one. I think Aetherflow still beats out SoS even so, but... there's enough MP return that it's not a huge issue, IMO.

Thats pretty funny, oh well if that problem comes around again it will just get patched out.

I think Energy Drain does scale though, as it's the damage dealt returned back as MP, as you gear up you get more Mind which is more damage which is a greater return of MP.

It's possible this did change-- I'm only just now getting back into SCH since heavensward, but in ARR, the MP return was static. This also meant that you could use ED without cleric up--less damage, but you would get the full MP amount (266 at level 50, IIRC).

However, this generally has much less impact... ED is not something a SCH generally wants to spend aetherflow stacks on unless it really can't be helped, whereas SoS and Aetherflow are pretty much pop-on-CD.

Oh sorry I have to disagree with you on that one ED and Bane are what you want to spend Aetherflow on, using Aetherflow for healing is just for emergency situations, ED gives you a higher damage output and a better mana return, where as a well timed Emergency Tactics + Adlo can replace a Lustrate without the cost of an Aetherflow stack. It was different pre 3.0 when you could Lustrate in Cleric though.
