"There is no hope in stubbornly clinging to the past. It is our duty to face the future and march onward, not retreat inward." -Sovetsky Soyuz, Azur Lane: Snowrealm Peregrination
In the most literal sense, absolute victory for either light or darkness would destroy both, as they exist only in the distinction made between them.
So what the hell is going on here...?
Three days left until the end of the world.

looks like it will be "empire strikes back" version of HW's where the bad guys get the upper hand
i am hoping that minfilla is found alive and is like "im tired of Aphinaud always trying to run things im going to actually take charge for once"

Hmmmm, I'm actually pretty sure that it's closer to, "even if this is the end, you can't actually fight to your fullest if you accept that you'll die." Life fights to live, and your death, even inevitable, must never be accepted.
But it's poetry, and if you hadn't figured out by now I studied English Lit with the best. As much as I enjoy having someone to bicker with, we can agree to disagree on this one.
(I can only imagine we got very different things out of Danganronpa.)
Great thing about poetry, we can argue and argue and argue, and everyone's right, for a given value of "right". Now excuse, I need to go read "Invictus" again...
Well, *I* think so. I think it would be very appropriate.
"Darkness is merely the absence of Light..."
STAY TUNED, FEARLESS READERS!

i think it's highly unlikely that Tartaru is going to die. More like kidnapped or missing. Then again Square does get carried away with killing off characters before you even have an emotional attachment to them
"Oh hey check out Moenbryda she is so cool.....ohhh now she is dead"
at least i hope she is not dead, i like her cause she is the scions book keeper and i am book keeper IRL so i can relate to the whole stress about money management

The only thing we can say is this: come whatever may...
After all, we are the "beacon of hope towards which all men are drawn."
... though that might not be a good thing...

I wonder which quest gives cutscene where Aymeric stabbed

Here is the thing. The very first thing we were told was 'Hear, Feel, Think'
Apart from that the Mothercrystal's direct contact has been pretty sparse and for the most part we have acted by our own volition. Hear, Feel, Think isn't the type of thing you tell a puppet to do.
Now clearly balance is important. However I don't think the Mothercrystal's intentions are bad. It's basically her word against that of the Ascians. Further, she has never done anything or asked anything of us that suggests evil intent on her part.
Crazy thought. What if Zodiark was a being that usurped the 'mantle' of darkness thus throwing everything out of balance. Unable to be killed it was banished instead. Ramuh says that originally there wasn't the whole light and darkness thing which if he is correct would suggest that the current situation is unnatural.
Further, the Ascians don't want to return Zodiark to balance with the Mothercrystal. They want to remove her entirely. They see her as a blight.
The thing is we don't know the Meta goal of these grand scale powers. The Ascians just aren't telling us and the Mothercrystal seems to generally want people to find the answers through living their lives. Perhaps that's what makes us key. For her, we are the guide for the world to find those answers.
A lot of the good we did in the 2.X cycle we did while cut off from her instruction. Also, thinking back on dragon-dad here, but just because she has been telling us to hear, feel, and think, doesn't necessarily mean we actually have been. She very well could have been spending the entire time trying to warn us against taking the course of action we have been. Thinking... is scary.
Ugh, I really want to bring up Tales of Zestiria here in the way that Cilia always brings up Dark Souls, but it only left Japan recently and I don't want to spoil anything. Suffice to say it very clearly and deliberately works through the really complex issues we've been sitting here pondering for the last few months, on the nature of heroes and such, and comes to some pretty interesting conclusions.

That seems interesting, especilay considering that Tales are known for deconstructing standard RPG and Fantasy cliches and tropesUgh, I really want to bring up Tales of Zestiria here in the way that Cilia always brings up Dark Souls, but it only left Japan recently and I don't want to spoil anything.
