Hmmmm, I'm actually pretty sure that it's closer to, "even if this is the end, you can't actually fight to your fullest if you accept that you'll die." Life fights to live, and your death, even inevitable, must never be accepted.

But it's poetry, and if you hadn't figured out by now I studied English Lit with the best. As much as I enjoy having someone to bicker with, we can agree to disagree on this one.

(I can only imagine we got very different things out of Danganronpa.)

Seems unlikely to me... Either it's the past when Ishgard didn't see endless snowfall, or something caused the rain... I'd imagine dragon fire, and ample amounts of smoke could do the trick actually, but I'm doubtful we'd be seeing Nidhogg continue his aggression so soon, though he does show up in the trailer...

IDK, perhaps I'm overestimating the climate in Coerthas, I've not seen it rain there once though... I'd much rather something cause the rainfall, something which isn't a horribly overused trope... Better not tell the common folk that stabbing Aymeric causes a shift in their weather, then he really will be in trouble... I imagine the entire population of Ishgard is quite tired of this endless winter... Stabbing bastards with kitchen knives brings rainfall actually sounds like solid folklore... BRB, I have a theory to test...

Thinking about it... Ravanas "element" is Smoke (Fire+Earth), and we see Darklander fighting Ravana for reasons... Hmm, more fuel for my Primal summoning theory...

Well, assuming it's a recent event... I would say the culprit is... Tataru!

Probably reading too much into the whole "No more Triple Triad" thing (and 2.55s stuff), but Aymeric gets stabbed with a Culinarian tool... Tataru is the Scions resident crafter now, apparently...

I mean, we have actual daggers now (much to my annoyance, since Ninja should be wielding katanas, yet I'd say I only have two options at the moment...), why use a Culinarian tool? The upper class of Ishgard can surely afford a better assassination... The poor of the Brume? I'd have figured Aymeric would be quite popular with them, and I can't imagine Hilda allowing something like this to happen... No... The culprit has to be someone else... Someone who's recently worked in a bar, perhaps... Someone who wanted to use us to get into Ishgard... Someone who was making novelty good luck charms one day, and exceptionally well made gear the next...

Depends on which Hilda she's patterned after. There's the FF2 princess Hilda, who was both leader of the rebels and that game's Minfilia, and then there's FF9's Hilda, who betrayed Cid Fabool IX and stole the Hilda Garde for Kuja (who, connect the dots with me, is voiced in the Japanese version of Dissidia by Akira Ishida, also the Japanese voice of Eldibus). Kind of interesting for her to show up after we gave Minfilia the "wild rose" association...

(Yes, a third option is both possible and likely, but the name, man. That name.)

I know the 'Against the Dying of the Light' quest name is a reference to the poem. What worries me is what happened to warrant that reference. After all, you can't make a reference to a poem about fighting the end and the inevitable, without the implication that something despair-inducing enough occurred in the first place. The fact Lucia gives out the quest, after Alphinaud had served as the primary quest giver up until that point, doesn't help and makes me somewhat worried something is going to happen to the latter. (Which is why the original OP included me begging SE not to do anything to Alphinaud. The kid has been through enough for now.)

Similar to how I felt after accepting the quest after Titan...and my mind automatically finished the thought...and I knew something bad was about to happen.

And 2.5's last quest was called "Before the Dawn"

Or guys the weather could very well be a fake. Did anyone remember the heavensward launch trailer?

On the trailer first time we meet Bismark it was daylight, but on the game is always night.
On the trailer, first time we meet the white big dragon, there were not winds, the weather was clear.

This could very well be the same case. After what I saw on the expansion trailer, i cannot trust any weather that is showed on the trailers videos.

Tell me, would referencing that poem be appropriate for Raise or Living Dead macros?

The Third option could very well be this:

How can be we so sure that Hilda has total control over the poor people?
That everyone resptect her and her desicions?

Dont you guys think that a professional assasin would be too obious?
If I was the leader of one of the high houses and i want Aymeric dead, I wouldnt hire a pro assasin. I would secrelty pay lots of gil to a desesperate poor guy. That way not only it avoids suspicious, also it would make mistrust on the common folk
