    I don't see any overreaction here, OP is completely right.
    Anyone who wanted to progress (considering from who I know) Savage without outgearing it already scrapped PLD, is struggling or has incredibly outstanding team which can make up for the anchor PLD currently is. It doesn't take a genius to know that PLD is miles behind WAR and DRK and being aware of the problem and not doing anything with it is really weird.

    Either give PLD DPS boost (it might even be aura that reflects a part of damage taken back to the target) or come with less tighter DPS checks and encounters that actually favor him. I am not really fan of making all jobs the same but if PLD cannot be "viable" without DPS boost, then there is probably a need to do that.

I've never said the fight wasn't a factor of its current situation, instead I was implying that clearly PLD is the issue too, if one class out the 7 or 8 doesn't work with the current meta then there's a clear problem here, beside as our m8 post before it won't change anything since more dps= faster run= less dmg...

    By keeping DoTs up and cycling through Hate rotation I inflict pretty decent damage as a Paladin. (Not Proper DPS levels mind, but as much as the healers can contribute at least) That is, Until I run out of TP. Then I'm just "Some Guy Holding a Shield". Warriors can recover TP by the time they hit 60 and Dark Knights can abuse their MP as well as their TP for damage so they don't have as much of a resource issue when played well.

    So lets get the info on the TP and VIT modifiers before we all lose our shit.

    Specifically,
    Many of those attempting instanced raids in the early stages tend to use advanced materia melding on accessories, which lead to tanks being required to meld STR or VIT. Due to this there were times where the melded accessories were better than the accessories which dropped from clearing the instance. In order to resolve this issue, in Patch 3.2 we will be making adjustments that will change the damage calculations of tanks into a more appropriate state.
    Seems to me like they're doing a global change to Tank DPS in general. Logically, one should see how this pans out before attempting to boost the Paladins DPS specifically.
    Imagine the rage that would come out of a patch where PLDs DPS was double that of a fully buffed/STR geared Warrior from an unintended doubledip from related adjustments?

    Good lord this Forum Community needs to cool it with the rageposts.

    Referencing that post above about tank DPS, I have no doubt that they'll be stomping on DRK and WAR's dps levels to get them more in line with PLD's and not the other way around. Cue incoming ragefest

    OK I do admit I wasn't thinking about this when I was doing the post, maybe those GAMAGE modifier will change things up so it's too early to speak....
