Job Adjustment

• Paladin's main problem is the compatibility with current contents.
• Adjustments will be made to address TP issues, but no adjustment will be made to Paladin's DPS.
• They are aware that currently Clemency and Divine Veil do not have many uses in current content.

Our good friend Remus had the pleasure of posting this reddit information and here's what we got about PALADIN...

I honestly don't know where to start with this, I think this will be more of a rant than anything else so bear with me.


WHAT IN THE LIVING HELL SE!!!!

I seriously wonder if they actually play this class, or if they are aware of the meta of this game, or even if they know what is really going on.

-So according to SE paladin main problem is the content, not that it's current dps is the lowest of every class of this game aside from healer, AND please feel free to correct me if even healers can pull higher dps than PLD, nor that paladin has a significant unnecessary defense that's not required on this game since the other two tank can just do everything just as good and even "better", nor that it has a horrible TP management and resource compare to any other meele class, nor that PLD has the lowest AGGRO modifier of all 3 tanks, nor that I don't have any single AOE component to bring to the table aside from the "PLEASE SPAM TILL YOU BLEED 'FLASH' ", nor that half of PLD kit is completely full of SITUATIONAL GARBAGE that rarely and barely has any impact on content....

yeah it must be that the current content it's the problem and not the class itself....

-Well tank you SE only took you 2 years to figure out that PLD needed a TP fix.

-So no fix for PLD dps.... and here is where I'm going to drop it... DEAR SE, if you honestly HONESTLY think WAR+DRK exist because of PLD lack of "utility" You are WAYYY off the chart on the current situation of what's going on with paladins.

-currently warriors and dark knight offer a incredibly good defense, self sustain and resourceful survivability. on top of that both offer a really good DPS and offer a much bigger raid utility buff and debuff that has a greater impact than any of PLD toll kit.

WAR+DRK doesn't exist because PLD was less utility, WAR+DRK exist because they do everything a PLD does, better, and add a much more increased DPS thank PALADIN can do even as OT.

HOW is it right that GROUP "NEEDS" to grind extra weeks of capped gear to compensate for the lack of PLD DPS? how long did it took for a PLD to clear AS4 after it was cleared by DRK+WAR a good amount of times?

yeah...must be content that it's the problem...

- Very good DEV team you had a sharp eye on that one...did you figure that out before? or after those 5 month that this Expansion has been out?

so tell me SE are you seriously that lost on the current state of your own game? we have been begging for MONTH to fix this class, and this is just tip of the iceberg of all the thing wrong with paladin...

and unless you are planning on making content where only paladin defense will survive against anything that you might be thinking, you will only create more imbalance and the next side of the coin will drop on another tank class... so get your stuff together SE because this is ridiculous.

SORRY but i needed to get this out of my chest.... this is ridiculous and garbage, I've been a paladin since 2.0 and changed to war because I can't bear playing a class I loved been so bad, guess I'll be sticking to the axe despite I loved paladin and it's theme...

shield bash: A3 slimes
Shield swipe: wasnt this something used to save tp?
Tempered will: wash away A3
Clemency: occasional
Divine Veil: jumps A1, aoe blasts A1, A2 not really, a3 splashes, sluice and cascades, A4 uuuuh carnage?

Current top end content is a dps check, PLD has low dps and no utility to make up for it. Sounds like compatibility to me.

Seen this coming a mile away. They already said before that they won't be increasing pallys dps to match the other tanks. Not sure why this is surprising at all. It's a bit of overreacting imo.

Current top end content is a dps check, PLD has low dps and no utility to make up for it. Sounds like compatibility to me.

Which means they'd have to design further content to not encourage tank dps to meet checks (which would still lead to the implication that [more dps = faster fight = less tank damage] once you meet said checks, unless they really mean it on their tank dps calcuations for 3.2 in regards to dork knight and warrior)

Exactly why they are changing the way future fights require tank dps to meet checks. IMO the TP changes are long overdue.
