Specified Clan Quests for Each Race.

I would really love this. Some of the races are barely present in the game world aside from as bandits in throwaway quests (i.e. Duskwights) and for most players the scrappy introductions during character creation are a world away by now. The Au Ra are (I hope) going to be covered more in the main story in future, but for now there are so many questions lingering about them with no in-game answers.

The only thing I'm conflicted on is whether I want to see it completely locked by race. The idea of having a unique mount or other special rewards is very appealing and increases the sense that the decisions made during character creation matter for aesthetics and roleplay, but there are several other races I'm curious about and I don't want to have to make a bunch of alts to learn more about their culture.

And what about people who Fantasia? If you're not careful, hardcore minion/mount collectors will end up feeling pressured to pay to collect all of the rewards (I guess the reward could be like the faction leader minion and change depending on your current race).

What I would like most of all would be a beast tribe style system where each type of each race has its own area you can build reputation with over the course of learning about them. And if you are that race, you can get access to a second tier of rewards (cooler, recoloured mount, unique clothing etc which adapt visually to your current race) as well as some unique dialogue.

I'd like to know more about the Vultures, seeing as I chose to be a part of'em. Not too hot about the Ziz. Antelopes can go home! You get the idea. We got a bit from the drakes, but...eh.

I really do like the Keepers of the Moon lore. How would these quests even start? There are many different people of all races all throughout Eorzea, there might need to be "homelands" to go to to even think about things like this imo :/.

I think it might be a lot of work for a bunch of side quests however.

It doesn't make a ton of sense to spend development time creating 12 quest lines and having every character unable to experience 11 of them. But I like this idea as long as it's not actually limited to your own race and clan.

I'd mix them in with Beast Tribe equivalents. You wouldn't quest with the "ENTIRE RACE" just a small faction that gives you lore to work from, it also explains why being a member of said race doesn't give you an easy inroad.

I thought that Au Ra was going to play a major part in this expansion.

Maybe SQEX think Yugiri is a ~major role~ or something? Au Ras are seriously lacking.

To be honest, they could have added Au Ra NPCs to pubs, roads and fates, just for the sake of creating the effect that now they live between us but... Too lazy?

Easy: create a minion/mount that works like the Wind-up Leader, that changes depending on your current race. No Phantasia problems or anything. People would work with the quests, get the lore they want, and even if they decide to change races after, they would have the correct minion/mount.

Another thing that could be done is keep the idea of clan quests but also have outsider quests for each clan or even race to give details about the culture, and then offer the more personal info if you are in the clan then allowing you to have a questline specific to your clan.

I like the idea, but people at the minute even complain about race specific starter gear, I can't imagine the amount of people complaining because they wanted a Hyur mount but they're Au Ra etc. Otherwise it's a good idea.
