    How about having a minimal iLvl for each instance, and if the player is below the minimum iLvl, instead of locking them out, their gear will be synced upward?

    Obviously this won't apply to end game content, but it would be great for leveling content, and could help deal with the inventory clutter when trying to level several jobs at once.

    Then what's even the point of leveling gear at all? Literally hundreds of items would go in the trash.

    I agree. Leveling items are trash and belong there.

    There are also low level crafters who could use some love. Item level requirements would boost demand for gear, while your suggestion would certainly decrease it.
