I'll be honest with you. The Devs keep on saying they don't support parsers, yet they keep on adding DPS check shit. They are the ones who created the monsters and condemned them at the same time.

Well really, the community keeps saying that devs keep on saying that they don't support parsers.
What the devs have actually said that they don't really care and understand their utility. https://youtu.be/3-WXYg-S05U?t=6m6s
When in doubt, assume sarcasm
Their lack of implementing them has the same effect though, regardless of their feelings. Things seem to be much better on the japan servers though, maybe thats is why the issue hasn't gotten the attention it needs.Well really, the community keeps saying that devs keep on saying that they don't support parsers.

But really, they don't support them, otherwise there wouldn't be the whole "don't ask, don't tell" thing going on. And they would be exempt from the third party rule. Understanding their utility and supporting them are two different things.

Also the part where they'd said there should be some understanding, responsibility and that we're all adults here. :xWell really, the community keeps saying that devs keep on saying that they don't support parsers.

Until we'd get a definite statement on it, we're only grasping at straws on why they don't want to implement somehting like a parser. Hell, it's taken us until 3.05 to get a TP bar of all things because of UI restrictions and trying to keep it in line with PS3 limitations so they wouldn't at an unfair disadvantage.
I use, and I find my overall gameplay much experience better, as many do. Can you find anyone who uses a parser that says their gameplay experience is worse? Not sure this point is even debatable.
Plus, if someone didn't find it better, I am sure they could just close the window so they can't see it. That way, they could ignore the data they don't want to see, without hindering on everyone else's benefit.
Tbh, I don't know a lot about coding. But I've played other games with all of these things on ps3 and graphics were the only thing said to be held back by it. Of course, they could be a much more optimised game, but I really don't buy the restrictions thing for everything. It just seems a go-to excuse to shut people up most of the time. Also the part where they'd said there should be some understanding, responsibility and that we're all adults here. :x

Funfact i took a break at that time and STILL dont have it. I assume u mean seeing others tp in the groupoverlay? Or what? If so I hopefully find it on the customizations ( ps4 ).
Less funny when you shrug and think "yes" is the correct response to "goat me ffs, or do i need to ask?" oO
Pretty much some parser people I see in DF and Alex, they were whining to other people whose dps numbers don't satisfy them, usually healers were being trashed for not dpsing a bit. Not really fun to watch, or read.
It's ruining my gameplay experience.

That's the player's faults for being idiots, not the parser. I don't think I've ever commented to a DF stranger on their dps. There's no point to it really - even if you tried and be as nice and friendly and helpful as possible people just don't take it well. It ends up being better just to do the slower dungeon and avoid any confrontation.

So you're asking if we can find people who are intentionally making their experience worse by going out of their way to download and run something which is making their experience worse?
That's a rather silly question, no?
That's like asking if we can find anyone that eats bacon daily that thinks their day is ruined whenever they eat bacon. If someone feels their game experience is ruined if they use a parser, the logical thing to do would be to not use the parser.
Could we find people who used a parser and stopped using it? Probably. Personally I feel that having a parser not only wouldn't improve my experience, but would probably make it worse because I'd feel more judgmental about myself even if I'm doing fine. And being able to see everyone all the time? Meh. It's easier to ignore that the DPS are doing less damage than me as a tank if I don't see it live. Not everybody likes to min/max and push themselves to the limit. That's why savage raiding is the minority scene.
