While I really do appreciate the efforts the community reps make to reach out to us, and I understand that you can only say so much, this is actually pretty insulting. The topic of this thread is the disparity between the glamours available to males and females, an issue which has been raised repeatedly and passionately and yet receives no acknowledgement. I'm sure a lot of people were excited to see the little crown on the topic that indicated we'd gotten an official response at last...only to be disappointed to see that response was actually to an off-topic post asking for extra features on the very thing we're upset about.

Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to hang on to that little nugget of joy until someone brought it up in a topic not full of people unhappy about not being able to even use the item in question?

I also have to ask...just which male Scion are they thinking of adding an outfit for? Because of all the male Scions, only Alphinaud has a unique outfit or hairstyle; all the others can be pretty easily replicated with low level items and a visit to Jandeline. Alphinaud's outfit is pretty nice...but he wears the same thing as his sister, and their hair is identical except for the color of the ribbon...So the only 'Male Scion's outfit' you could possibly justify charging us for is also assured to be unisex, meaning it will do nothing but make this problem worse.

Well he did at least make a comment that was relevant in the second sentence and we did discuss the value of Minfilia's armor and its use as a glamor earlier in the thread so its not entirely inappropriate.

However as for male 'Scion' outfits that could work, there is Cid. That would be my vote. Having said that I would definitely be jealous. Id give up Minfilia's set for Cid's in a heartbeat.

I'll be curious if they give us new sets because I'm currently betting all the scions including Minfilia will get a costume change if and when they return. Perhaps the plan is to give old NPC sets.

People point out the All Saint's wake outfits and seem to not notice they are literally reskins of existing armor pieces. All the bits your see for both sets are existing pieces with a few extra bobs and bits.

It... doesn't really change the fact that female characters got a minidress that can be worn without pants. Guys got a shirt with no covering of underpants. And maybe it's just me not seeing it, but if you could point me to the existing gear that the female outfit is a reskin of, I'd be grateful.

The thing is, it's not. The bodice of the dress is the same as the Patrician's crafting top, with the addition of a skirt and seasonal bow which are completely unique from anything I've seen in-game. The male version, on the other hand, is exactly the same model as the male Patrician's top except for the bow.

I'd actually be fine with it not having pants if they'd at least given it some sort of unique embellishment. Fancy coat tails would have been awesome, but anything to show they'd actually put some effort into the male costume would make me happy.

i am fine with gear looking different in each gender. but at least try and make it seem like its not a re-skin. on that note i feel like the only gear that got it right was the lighting and snow gear. with each set being unique.

Also, we plan on creating more exciting male-specific equipment in the future to help the balance of gender-specific gear.

Oh, I agree completely. The first thing I did when I got that coatee was to glamour it to look like the hempen top, because I was fairly certain there would be a quest requiring us to wear all of the pieces.

I think the rational they use to call it a 'reskin' is that it's very similar to the Manderville armor - namely, the top of it, and the buckles. But it has more thought/wrok put into it than the Male version did, clearly.
