You might think well of your mentors, but when it comes to vying for the same job, all bets are off. Where once we were seen as an inspiration and example to people considering adventuring, to the adventuring professional, we might be competition, or perhaps even a threat.

    This. On that I agree for sure. We are seen as meat buster and not brains according to many players. Maybe SE realised it too. Why not ? why not taste the other side of the mirror ?
