Well Einhander and Lord of Vermillion also got referenced in XIV and SE did make all three games. Not to mention the Dragon Quest events that is closer to a reference than a crossover. Though now I want to know if there are Tomb Raider or Deus Ex games

I wonder if the derplander of Darkness is fighting Ravana so that he/ they could get a __element crystal of darkness? Once he completes the set then he'll get the "blessing of darkness?" ... Maybe that's what they've been doing? Going around Eorzea and collecting the Crystals of Darkness?

... until we actually learn what's going on in 3.1, anything's possible. I thought Crystals of Darkness evaporated almost on contact, but we still don't know what the hell's up with the Warrior of Darkness, so who knows.

It's also a possibility that those are Void crystals and the the Warriors of Darkness will be obtaining the True Crystals of Darkness that parallel to our Crystals of Light.

Ehhhh... I seriously doubt that. The Void and voidsent eat up aether, not produce it in great enough quantity and quality that it can be compacted into a solid tangible substance. Unless a "void crystal" is anti-aether... but going by the laws of antimatter it would cease to exist almost immediately, not from someone touching it but just by coming into contact with normal aether. Which is in everything.

Going by previous games, the Warriors of Darkness should be either collecting or protecting the Crystals of Darkness. My money's on the former based on the patch title, assuming that's what they're doing, but without more information I don't want to make a judgment either way.

Good point, I was working on the Anti-Aether angle but you're right, Anti-Aether would neutralize it's self just by entering Hydaelyn plain of existence.
