sorry, I just can't equate "more options" with a "don't fix whats not broken" mentality.

What I was getting at was that the system that's in the game right now is working, although it's slightly annoying when a player gives themselves a ridiculous name.

Plus with all the content for patches they're doing now I doubt they'd have time to recode part of the character creator to allow optional surnames, it'd probably take at least a day or two to create a way of letting the live servers do it.

Therefore in retrospect it'd be better as:

"It ain't broke now, we can squirt it with oil to loosen the cogs a bit later though."

Which isn't a popular phrase, but fits the situation a bit better.

Its a forum - a real representation of democracy - I may not agree with you. But you have the right to say it.

And this is why trolls will die soon. As democracy transitions from physical reality to social/"internetal" reality. The majorty will always shoot them down. Not admiting I have been though .

Its just a decent debate. And hell, the forums have shown a damn lot of maturity in discussing this.

Again - This thread is about the choice to have ONLY ONE NAME for your character. The thread is named wrongly and I would change it if I could. (hint hint forum reps.... wink wink...)

I'll be honest, these last 25 pages have been full of GOOD debate, and for that I can only be thankful, knowing how these forums can be.
