yeah i know that , i just want more :P
What people forget that the devs focused more on fixing bugs/balance new classes/skills after the release of 3.0. No worries about the next patches 3.1 and 3.15 isnt far away and 3months till 3.2 isnt long too. Dont have fun? Take a break. Some players get burned out faster than others thats it.
How big is the FFXI team?
I don't understand why some you are just talking about the people that have something to say about the type of content in the game... FFXIV could use some experience from FFXI even though the games are very different.
But most of all... Not everyone in a team have anything to say about how the game is developed. There are programmers designers etc etc that could join FFXIV's staff without influencing how Yoshi-P wants the game to be.
I'm sure Yoshi-P have lots of ideas for the game, but if you don't have the staff to do it all, it ends up only being their normal formula (dungeons, 24-raid/progression raid, Trial fight(s) etc). In 3.1 we're getting something new with the Airship Exploration, but they didn't have enough staff to do 3 dungeons, get Relics fully done, and the development time took longer than what we players want. Two weeks of vacation doesn't result in 4.5+ months of development. (seeing as their target is 3 months)
It would make more sense why they haven't hired more staff if this is the case... Although, I don't know how big the staff is working on FFXI...
Perhaps you should actually learn some compassion, The dev teams are humans, just like we all are, mistakes happen and sometimes things do not come out on time or work out as planned. if you are off to work and get in a car accident and your boss says "oh? to bad, you should have been here, you're fired" you won't be so happy about that will you, that entitled attitude is one of the reasons they don't take NA side seriouslyLate is late, regardless of the excuse. If we have to wait 5 months for 3.2, I don't care what excuse they come up with, because I won't be playing anymore. Frankly, I doubt I'll be the only one.
If the dev team cannot work around a vacation schedule without delaying content over a month, then they either need more staff or better management (or both). If I ever walked into a meeting with a customer and told them I can't deliver on time because we all took a vacation, I'd be fired on the spot.
Perhaps you should act like a paying customer. You're paying for a service. That service has dropped in quality because they couldn't deliver on time. Excusing that isn't what a customer should do. Products and services improve when you hold people accountable. They don't when you become an apologist. They're a business, and we'd be all better for it if a lot of you stopped thinking of them as your personal friends.Perhaps you should actually learn some compassion, The dev teams are humans, just like we all are, mistakes happen and sometimes things do not come out on time or work out as planned. if you are off to work and get in a car accident and your boss says "oh? to bad, you should have been here, you're fired" you won't be so happy about that will you, that entitled attitude is one of the reasons they don't take NA side seriously
I don't see any lack of quality, personally.
I can't help thinking of Wow and Warlords of Draenor. For the first time ever, Blizzard dropped their policy of only releasing things when they were ready and released the expansion on time. That's the reason I'm here. It has been an absolute disaster: loads of content cut, loads of things that needed fixing some of which are only being addressed now.
I would hate to see Square start rushing and cutting corners. It's frustrating to wait but I'd rather do that than pay for buggy, lacklustre content that has been rushed.
They already learned their lesson with 1.0. I'd rather they take all the time they need and wait an extra couple months than have them release broken content early.I don't see any lack of quality, personally.

Yea these people saying the devs took a vacation so its fine to delay things just have no clue what they are on about.
If devs need a vacation, do i, but dont put the game on hold.
ANY business with common sense would have a few people pushing out tiny things during that vacation.
Its pure idiocy to completly halt game progress. We are not the devs friends, we pay for a product, vacation time should NOT be an excuse, this is their job, not a luxury.
A delay is a drop in the quality of the service. It's really as simple as that.I don't see any lack of quality, personally.

i act like a human being 1st, unless you're incapable of mistakes and human error, Entitlement is a arsehole trait, regardless of how you try to coat it. i hope in your life you're never even 5 minutes late for any payments and you're cut off entirely because it wasn't "on time" But you as well as the other "i'm better" dude that wrote that can cancel should mistakes and things coming up is all kinds of unacceptable to you, Also, when you signed up for this game, you actually agreed that these type of things are going to happen and you accepted it. For all reasons they can just take you account and there is nothing you can do about it.Perhaps you should act like a paying customer. You're paying for a service. In fact you two seem like the type that will walk into a fast food place and if they get your order wrong you pull out a gun.
