Man, you guys sure do talk a lot. Instead of reading all of this. I'm just going to join in right here,ok?

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/helpI'm sure you understand the point but are just trying to counterpoint
Helping someone steal a car isnt helping at all, even if they perceive it as such, helping someone would be pushing them back onto a moral path (lets not drag this too far into long annoying instances of grey areas though) or helping someone in need, food water health training etc
Help - to give or provide what is necessary to accomplish the task.
The task is to steal a car - he is asking you to "help" him accomplish the task of stealing a car.
You're that "Watson" computer that won Jeopardy, aren't you?To all readers in this thread:
Extensive critique added. I'm glad I unblocked you so that I could show that you were trying to make an appeal to authority in your scholarly source. Unfortunately you failed to read the whole paper and didn't notice that it actually supports the idea that immersion is subjective, thus negating the premise of your entire post.
Good luck next time, and remember. I will read it.
Don't call my bluff, because I'm not bluffing.
Either that or your some university professor on sabbatical.
Yup, to use the literal sense of the word 'help' would mean they would help you steal the car.http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/help

I disagree with this statement as Konachibi fails to show motivation to the contrary. Immersion is being incorrectly used. There is an objective way to define immersion. Immersion in and of itself is subjective, and that is what the OP is trying to do. Shed off any preconceived notions of what immersion entails.
Konachibi has been successful in presenting that point, she hasn't been successful in convincing detractors if this point, but how successful do you have to be when you're trying to teach a fish mathematics? Is that something that can be held against someone?
How often do you have to show a man a fish and objectively verify with neutral sources that it's a fish in order for him to believe it's a fish?If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day, if you teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.
Who is at fault here when they go hungry because there was 'no fish to eat'?
I think this whole post is pointless and I hate chibi for even starting it. She probably has an entire novel of text and replies in this thread. And the RANDOM capitalizing of WORDS is REALLY annoying. I GET that YOU are TRYING to *CONVEY* a POINT but it really is not necessary to do THIS.... ewe sea wut eye dud thur?
Chibi go play the game and stop posting so much, flooding the forums with 100's of posts a day. I disagree with your whole argument but unlike you I'm done writing here because I can't sit here and reply every 5 seconds. You're wrong and many people agree with me, and some people agree with you but the point is.... it does not f8cking matter, just play the damn game.
Over 1,200 views and only 12 likes... you can't be that correct if no one agrees.
EDIT:
What happened to this morning when you said "I'm done posting here"... well I guess you're a liar.

Can you point to where she insulted intelligence?I am in shock, not even elementary school level logic was enough to make this person see reason. Insult everyone's intelligence on a public forum, then run away when people disagree and try to prove your point wrong... lack of maturity as described in a children psychology book.
Maybe we have to realize that this world is not backed by matter, But backed by information. In a world backed by information you can do anything, So whatever is in the game that immerses you is still part of that information backed world.
You're getting a like, if not for anything else but for taking such an extensive amount of time to write all that and explain the whole thing in such a detail that I could never hope to accomplish XDTo all readers in this thread:

Also yes, IMMENSELY informative and yes, does explain the entire topic in it's entirity, I don't think there's anything that could have been added at all. You've totally nailed it.
