Melding on tomestone / raid gear

i can only accept it , if i can buy with law (or whatever the lowest tome is at the time) materias of max rank outside that , worst idea ever ...now if i get a piece of gear i need to go and meld it then finally wear it ! .... cant wait for enchanting or being able to +1+2+3+4+5....my gear like all this f2p korean games

That's the equivalent of saying "Dungeons better work with 1-2-3 rotations only, or I quit", or "Crafting better be 1-button-HQ-guaranteed or I quit".

I'm pretty sure people were asking for the more interesting melding system of 1.0 compared to current or something else than being forced to go down one path for each class which really isn't customization and more of mandatory bis.

There should be a materia transfer option.

Otherwise every time new accessories come out, all the previous pentamelds become useless

Unless you use crafter accessories, pentameld won't even be an option, so don't worry. If you think pentameld is too costly or too much trouble, I doubt you'll be the type to go for crafter placeholders.

Also new better crafted accessories should come every 6 months. There might be different accessories coming in-between, and you might prefer them to the one you already melded, but since it won't be a crafted accessories, it'll only take a single materia each. And if you care at all, it won't be much money.

Considering 12 materia per 6 months to be onerous is like considering milk to break your bank when you're not homeless.

The horror on Ragnarok Online... Getting a gear to +12 for the enhanced stats and them losing it trying to socket enhance that piece of... OK, I need to calm myself.
Looking forward to being kicked from leveling duties, because NO WAY I'm wasting gil on leveling equips to meld anything.

By the way, is it confirmed that there is no overmelding on tomes gear? Because I don't have lv.60 crafters and don't plan on having, so overmelding is a no-chance choice for me.

This a terrible idea and could scare many people away from raiding. Specially with how hard the content is at the moment.

adding materia slots to tome/raid gear adds a little customization to gear. Which I think is nice. I'm sure there are some people who wont let you into their raid group unless your gear is melded (at least for progression) which is understandable.

I see to many people making as little effort as they can and expect to be able to raid, well if your not gonna put any type of effort into your character imo you dont belong on a raid force. (or go start your own)

Huh what? You can meld crafted gear already instead of getting the dungeon drops in 1-49. Did you see people being kicked for not having the latest pentamelded lv 40 gear? I certainly haven't.

Yes its confirmed and no you don't need to *yourself* be a lv 60 crafter to have melds. See all those people who haven't crafted a single day in their life with overmelds on crafted gear they didn't craft, they exist. Request meld is a simple thing. And nobody charges a lot for it, most do it for tip alone (give what you want, but consider the time you waste).

Most people dont charge alot for melds. And if you have crafters in your FC then you can most likely get it done for free.

There are no pentamelds on raid/tome gear Yoshi said no forbidden melds in the live letter.
