If they add the Garlean outfits into the cash shop I will legitimately be pissed, I don't want this to turn into Fan Service the Game. Some outfits are meant to be special, at least until we get a Garlean raid!

They said it may not help us with relatively high ping, I have a feeling it's just going to improve for those with low ping even more so while leaving us in the dust. =l

I wish that when you buy some of the items, say a swimming suit that is exclusive to female characters, it is then distributed to ALL your female characters. Or a minion. I don't want to purchase a minion for ONE character. Why can't they put them on all of them? It's such a pain. I wish they would do that.

I suppose a small comfort is that they usually only charge 3-5$ each for a full outfit set (or individual pieces).

Far better than 20$ for a single costume that only goes on a single character, like some other games. Granted, they're mostly f2p games, but I digress.

That's for event items, they said they were still deciding on these new Mogstation costumes. What's to decide really? Throw 'em up for $3-5, it just makes me wonder if they'll cost $15-20.

I imagine you'd want it to make the new stuff coming... The materia melding stuff is only for STR/DEX/VIT/MND/INT/PIE, so you can still overmeld crafting/gathering stuff with their respective stats (and combat gear with Crit/etc.), and melding purchased gear was specifically tomestones/raid gear, not Red Scrips stuff.

I'm definitely looking forward to Gil having a purpose now... Some might complain that you need materia now, but... Well, how many are running around in i200 and not chasing i210? You'll be able to meld new tomestone stuff to make it better if you want, just like you can go after Gobdip to improve AF2 if you want.

What I mean is crafter gear not the new materia. I saw your picture and found "High-level craftable gear added from 3.2 onward will be much stronger". So current 2 star AF2 crafter gear become useless to craft?

It's a cash shop. It's more cash if you have to buy an item for all the characters you wish to have it on - simple as that, sadly. /shrug

They*are* called "optional items".

The day it becomes a problem is the day I *have* to buy something off it.

Things that could be glamour maybe from crafting or other parts of game are being put into cash shop.
Everyone is fine with that.

They should start selling EXP boosts, GIL boosts and bonus dungeon bosses. I doubt anyone would mind that.

3-5 for each piece actually makes it almost 20 bucks. Also cash shop stuff goes only to a single character.
I don't know but every somehow good patch announcement goes always with some BS info like this that makes me only mad.

The whole game is optional. Personal housing is optional too. Oh, I have an idea: in order to magically solve all the housing limitations and problems, let's put personal housing in the Mog Station! It will reduce the demand and it will give them more money to improve the server structure, and it's optional!

Just because something is optional for you that doesn't mean that it should be optional for someone else with a playstyle different from yours. Some people enjoy raiding, some people enjoy RPing, some people enjoy doing some PvP, and some others enjoy the cosmetic part of the game (glamours and housing). It's not okay that some of these players are told that their playstyle is "optional" and that they have to fork even more money on top of their sub (this is the important part), while the others don't.

Mind you, I don't really care about the Minfilia glamour (I don't like her), but I can't agree with these cash shop exclusives when this is something that should be available by playing the game normally.
