SCH does take a lot of work to set up well with macros, but once you have a good setup, it's not too much harder to operate than other classes.
That's my problem. I hate that I need to use *any*. I generally prefer to leave the fairy to whatever the hell she wants to do(and I prefer using Selene anyways but yeah...) but I can't because if you do, you're supposedly *bad*.

I *was* using target of target macros for the fairy to heal the target I'm nuking while casting Broil, but this past week the tank's been dying and our DPS has been low so I'm getting pushed into trying to DPS outside the first part of A1S and I'm *really* not comfortable with it. Partly because I hate Cleric Stance and partly because the damn fairy has a mind of her own. Tank's dropping like a rock and she wants to heal the idiot melee standing in bad. Thanks, Lily.

Bleh. Another reason I dont want to run with another job is because I've already blown tomes on two of them. Tired of "wasting" esoterics on a job I no longer get to use.

Consider switching to a comfortable gamepad (sch still works fine just a lot of R1 button to switch bars)
Only gamepad I have that works with my PC is Xbox One controller and it's not comfortable to use. The joysticks in general aren't comfortable to use.

I have tried not using macros. They result in no one getting heals period when I'm dotting something and then I'm blamed when they're dead, regardless of if they should be taking damage or not. If I'm going by the "fights are scripted" thing, that requires me to either completely memorize every second of the fight(which I can't do) or rely heavily on someone that can to call it.

There are some things you need to consider specific to this fight. If this is done similar to A1N, then the two tanks are on either ends of the battlefield. If Eos is parked in the middle of the field, I'm not sure the exact distance, but I am pretty sure it is more than 15y, meaning Succor and Whispering Dawn won't reach.

The bigger problem would be if the distance is greater than 21y, because that is the range Lily uses for auto-casting. Normally, she heals you if below 80%, then the lowest % party member of you're good. If she is healing DPS at a higher percentage than the tanks, then it may be outside auto-cast range.

I'm not sure if the range is the issue, but if that is the problem, then there are three solutions:
    1. Use Embrace spam on tank. This will only work if none of the DPS in auto-cast range are below 80%.
    2. Off-set Eos to one side so that she can auto-heal one of the tanks.
    3. Use Heel and offset yourself to one side so that Eos can auto-cast.

As to the whole DPS thing, I feel like a broken record. Use my attack macros and keep the tank targeted so you can Embrace spam and only have to worry about turning cleric stance off to do your own heals.

Also, am I correct in assuming that you are using Broil after applying all your DoTs? Those do more damage for less MP than Broil. I don't start using Broil until after all the DoTs, unless I am attacking an add that is going to die very quickly.
