    I'm pretty sure the devs are busy addressing many of the big complaints as we speak. When I say pretty sure, I mean certain. It seems we can't go a day without a new thread popping up demanding SE fixes something they are already in the process of remedying and have made statements declaring such.

    Just saying every big patch they try to reduce the amount of menus it takes to craft. Also the map is so not useless wtf at those people. The thing about it is, we did ask for some sort of class uniqueness, and we weren't use to the new classes yet and therefore wanted something familiar. They took this as "significantly narrow the classes, and tack on jobs with old timey names", we can't help that we asked for minor changes at points and they went full blown ape sh*t on the changes. Looks like they're trying to change the UI more. Honestly the people who review mmos play a lot of boring mmos, the same run of the mill clone of each other (not even WoW clone at this point, they just rip off each other so much until they are all the same game). I think no matter what FFXIV was a breath of fresh air for those people who are not used to being able to play any class they want. The class system is boring, not because you can equip w/e to whoever, its because the actual algorithms on how gimp or how OP something should be when equipped to another class have been and still are broken.

    Taking away battle regimens was bs to me. The only fix i'd love if unglitching them, sometimes they glitch if too many people queue up, but I think this was largely fixed when we reduced party size to 8 therefore less people would be hopping in and out of them and it causes it to glitch less.

    The main point being that the Armory System and Class System are going to be improved by the addtion of Specialized Jobs running in paralell with this system.
    Could someone point to me the post that says the Armory sytem is being abolished and that Jobs will be replacing it? Because this is what people seem to believe.

    They never state that explicitly, but when you follow their choice of implementation to its logical conclusion, then it's pretty obvious that the armory system is being downplayed, and in fact, probably made redundant.

    I mean, one has only to look at the recent changes made to Thaumaturge to see SE's new stance on classes. Class is now equivalent to role. And that was by no means the original incarnation of the Armory System.

    Just because they limited the Thaumaturge's curing abilities doesn't mean class = role. All along, the classes have certain abilities that can't be shared, and among the ones that can be shared, they are limited in potency when used off-class. The classes were never meant to be completely identical to each other at any point in time. That was never the intention with the Armory System.

    It's as simple as this: Thaumaturges weren't meant to be better healers than Conjurers. So they got nerfed.
