This 45 day timer system effectively is monetizing housing, its written all over it. "Stay subscribed or else." Subscribing gives them money. The "or else" is they'll take your work away from you. This is monetizing, except they are being more subversive about it. They are forcing you to buy your house with your $15/mo subscription. That's really messed up.

And Blizzard announced that even though they've lose 45% of their subscribers, they actually increased their revenue on their players through more monetization. Why wouldn't SE copy that?

The worst part of this is that people are eating it up hook, line, and sinker. This is going to be very unhealthy for the game. If people want to positively impact the housing situation, they need to say NO to this and demand a fix that will give everyone the ability to own an estate and experience the estate content, not the just current .5% that stay subscribed indefinitely.
