    1. Boss constantly resetting enmity.
    2. Boss room also has mechanics.
    3. Tank duties like being a shepherd dog to its flock... say for instance, a debuff that only affects everyone other than the 2 tanks and they are in a race to take down the mechanic to free the rest of the raid, else raid wipes.

    I miss coil difficulty. You were banging your head on mechanics (normal players, not top end raiders), not absurd dps walls. There is nothing fun in wiping endlessly on a fight you mastered just because you don't have the dps needed.

    I had fun clearing the entirety of coil (minus T9 maybe. Too much of a bother to redo the entire golem + heavensfall thing to pratice P4's dance), and clearing each turn was satisfying. Alexander savage ? not so much. I felt happier clearing T8 savage than either AS1 or AS2.

    Kiting and maybe some interrupting, ADS is still one of my favorite fight because it needed interrupts on top of other mechanics.

    ok that I do miss as well, the team work for it was fun to do as well, like PLD did 1st silence, then a BRD would do the 2nd etc.

    It's not forcing, if you choose a Tank role which is all about defence and HP then that's what it's main focus should be. Before a Tank can DPS it should focus on its main duty as a Tank and that's holding aggro and surviving, once it does that then it can think about DPSing more later.

    Stop acting like YOUR PERCEPTION of tanking vs how you perceive tanks being is...this.

    The reality is, IT IS currently such that a tank is all about defense (not so much HP*), but it also is about dps at the same time.


    *Sidenote: Let's not act like a giant HP pool is anything other than a buffer for when we f*ck up bigtime. It's draining on the healers. Proper use of CDs means a giant health pool is extraneous.

    Think this is important to highlight. Right now tanks are forced to be DPS oriented which you like, so you're okay with that. However, there are many people out there who like the mitigation/"tank" qualities of a tank and don't like the DPS focus who are unhappy with the current state of the tanks. The way you feel about the change from DPS -> Mitigation is how those current tanks feel about the change from Mitigation -> DPS. You can't see the forest for the trees, essentially.

    I think you misunderstood me, At what part did I mention about a massive pool of HP? Yeah if Tanks can afford it then they should wear more gear that increases there DPS but HP IS a main part for the tank, why do you think people ask what is the recommended HP amount of A1S?

    I like to DPS as much as I can but what gets me is we get so much Fending accs that we wouldn't even need, I'm at the point now where I'm thinking of buying Slaying gear over fending, as a Tank I would like to buy.......well Tank gear but since the extra HP won't really do me any good it's pointless. I can easily meet the VIT requirement for A4S with like just 1 or 2 Fending gear.

    priority for Tanks, 1 meet the min HP requirement 2 then DPS gear.

    Yes Tanks are required to meet these heavy DPS checks but what's the point if the Tank dies alot due to the lack of his HP? And yes also the VIT requirements aint really that high for tanks in Savage at the moment. You can beat A4S with just about 18K HP.
