Also you guys need to stop comparing FFXIV to other games.

I would but lets face it, this game did absolutely horrible when it tried to stand alone from the series. Look at 1.0, this game tried to introduce new classes that weren't even from the FF Universe, didn't have chocobos and no AH. It's like the game was doing everything in its power to say "We're not 11!" and we all know what happened. It Flopped, not a little, it flopped so hard the devs had to literally BLOW UP the world to save it. 2.0 rolls around and we have FF Classes, Chocobos, and now a Marketboard/AH. The game starts doing better.... It's almost like when this game takes what it should of learned in 11 and applies it to 14, it actually does great! But when it tries to pretend like it's so "different" it crashes and burns.

Taking a Dev team hostage doesn't help. If you cut off the income generation then even if it hurt them enough to help, they may not even be able to provide the resources necessary to fix it. This has happened to many games where the community solution was "Stop paying for it" and the devs solution was "well time to make another game, because we can't pay our employees to have the resources to fix this now." That is business. The whole Boycott thing doesn't work in the video game industry. Collective educated opinions are what change things in game.

I was mostly joking, but if there are so many people who would quit over one month of waiting for content that SE would even bat an eye at it the game was failing long before they did anything wrong. lol

Technically speaking the game has been failing for a very long time, AKA 1.0, and only began redeeming its self with 2.0 to standard MMO levels. Then 3.0 rolls around and putting in little substance content into the game basically leaves it where its at and is bleeding out. Also 1 month of waiting isn't bad, when the content you introduce is worth 1 or even more. This content is barely worth a few weeks making the month departure extremely noticeable. If you don't see that I recommend checking que times for content these days, they are pretty gross.

While I can sympathise that quite a lot of people are unhappy with what is currently an unusual content break, I don't think the core issue is that there is a lack of more challenging content. Most casual players have been running out of things to do. Most of my FC is on a break at this point, playing other games. I suspect that this isn't an ideal situation for SE either so I'm incline to wait and see if this is a reoccurring issue or a one off first.

Also please get to terms with the fact this game isn't FF11. It wasn't to start with and its not going to become FF11. Please come to accept this fact and get over it cause these threads start to sound like 'FF14 should be FF11 version 2 cause FF11 was so much better' which doesn't deal with actual issues with content and playability.

^^ When they added elements from 11 the game improved hence 2.0. So what grounds do you have to say that it wouldn't fix the current content and playability? When there is evidence proving the contradiction to that statement. And honestly I would much rather this game be a higher graphics 11 then what it is now. Game is cool and all, but I'm leveling jobs simply for the fact that I have nothing to do. I can't think of a time in which I stopped logging into 11 because I had "nothing to do."

Please make more poor excuses for this game when people are unsubbing and community participation is at an all time low since 3.0. I would love to see how much more a player can do on its knees for this game.
