Shadewalker and Pets (Other skills too)

Anyone else notice that you can't cast Shadewalker on a pet, such as titan? I understand that you can't with goad, because why would a pet need TP, but titan really could use the enmity boost.

Synastry also does not work on pets. It says party members in the description as available targets, but I'm pretty sure Eye for an eye uses a similar description.

Finally, smokescreen, but thats not so big of a deal since it's unlikely that a pet will be out aggroing anyone.

With the exception of goad, all of these skills work on Companions.

I did notice before that E4E could be used on a pet, and also your summoned chocobo. It is kinda weird that these skills don't work on them. Either it's an oversight, or it was by design. Either one seems possible to me, really.

I'm guessing that Shadewalker works on a Chocobo because it's actually a party member, whereas Titan is just extra floaty goodness. I see no good reason why it shouldn't be able to work on Titan, though. It works great on a companion Chocobo to force the poor bird to tank whether he likes it or not.

Pretty much that, pets aren't considered part of "your" Party, they are a unique party member to the user that summoned them and thus they don't fit the requirements for those skills to be used on them.

I guess I should be happy that Eos/Selene are considered party members when triggering divine veil with embrace. Maybe they don't want Summoner to expand into Titan as real possibility and keep him as a pve sometimes sort of thing.

Eye for an Eye does specifically say party members or pets. Never noticed!

On the flip side, Aoe heals like medica say all party members, but also include pets. Just nitpicking I know, but consistency sets a precedent.

E4E still works on your pet, as SCH you can even E4E your fairy and then deployment to give yourself E4E if you are soloing content.

Protect does not work on Chocobos, but Stoneskin does.

SMNs that open with Rouse + Spur + Enkindle on Garuda within in the first 5 seconds of the fight (especially if they pop Rouse and Spur before the tank pulls) will rip hate off the tank, since that is generally before the tank can finish their enmity combo.
