Hopefully it'll be available next week...alongside a trailer for Patch 3.1.

Well if you want images of the gear, google "2015 halloween ffxiv" and there should be an Imgur album. Otherwise, we'll have to wait on SE and no one here knows when they'll publish the info. I'm surprised they haven't already, I expected the event to be on the 20th-ish.

maybe the event will actually start on Halloween, synchronize with the RL festivities and all that...then will end the 14 of November.

Or maybe SE will just add the event already with no fanfare since people would be expecting it anyway

It was datamined directly from the game's files, it's real don't worry. Also, not many people would go to such lengths to 3D model a few times to get clicks on their site.
