i got tired of complaining tbh. it's not too big of a problem right now because savage is tuned to support dark knight's weird toolkit, but the class feels less complete at level 60 than it did at level 50.

The same thing happened in World of Warcraft back when Wrath of the Lich King (back in 2008) came out. Death Knights came out, and people figured out all 3 specs (Blood, Frost, Unholy) could tank or dps. (Note that Death Knights were the only class in WoW that ever could do this.) People had no idea what builds were good or bad (since WoW forced you to pick talents back then). So not only did you have folks trying out tanking...BUT you also had idiots who weren't taking the right talents. Therefore, these idiots didn't hold aggro well AND were squishy. The folks who had always been tanking were just fine, though.

Warrior doesn't have any useless skills. The closest they come is Bloodbath and that's at least as strong as Abyssal Drain.

Bloodbath is actually very strong. The amount of self healing you can do is stupid. Bloodbath+Foresight is lightyears ahead of Abyssal Drain and is great to use while tanking in OT stance.

Funny that this thread was made when I first started HW and rerolled Drk I had a guy tell me in /tell that "you'll always be in the OT role hahaha have fun wasting your time". The guy was a pld and now I see him on my server putting PFs up of how Plds aren't wanted. Interesting how it turned out but eh I love all the tank classes just Drk is more of my play style.

Besides the DPS trying to tank incorrectly stigma, the other main issue was how off AST healing was, and the lack of level 45 gear. I remember doing Brayflox without grit and it worked fine, but that was from experience as a WAR and PLD over years. I also remember looking at DRK's kit and going "This will work... but it's going to be lacking unless the raids/dungeons are centered around it"
