DA Dark Dance is indeed poop but using carve and spit to regen MP can have niche situational uses - like on A2S if it means you'll have the MP to afford a DA Dark Passenger to hit a boatload of mobs.
God you must be bad at drk if you think abyssal drain is useless. Its a direct aoe dps increase, and a good self heal in dungeons and a2s. DA DD is also very good mitigation in speed runs.
Are people really still this bad at DRK 5 months after launch, still not having figured out how to properly use its abilities and calling stuff useless b/c they don't know the time and place to use said abilities?

I remember one healer on my way to levelling DRK to 50 literally being like
"what the fuck"
"every other drk ive come across died so fast"
"how come u take like no damage?"
my response to him was
"did every other drk you came across have pld and war levelled to 50?"
"and did they have the necessary subclass skills?"
I linked him a few pieces of WoD/aug IW tank gear and all he replied with was
"holy fuck i love u"
Im thinking in raid terms and not Neverreap runs. Abyssal Drain is a massive waste on anything single target. DA DD is unreliable at best and counter productive at worst.God you must be bad at drk if you think abyssal drain is useless. Its a direct aoe dps increase, and a good self heal in dungeons and a2s. So yeah. The time and place for those abilites are in trash runs that don't mean anything.
That is my point. But please keep telling me I'm stupid for not liking abilites that are useful in a fraction of raiding content.
Healer enters a dungeon expert
Healer:Please don't let it be a drk tank
See's see a greatsword
Every pull DRK not using no defensive cooldown cause they too busy pew pewing.
Healers still go through this phase when they get a bad DRK tank and there are ALOT of bad DRK's.
When you see someones glamour with non matching boots
Me and the wife never had this problem then again I both had WAR/PLD up to 50 and she mained WHM since release so combo wise we was good, but yeah I know alot of DPS to DRKs.
And I read the forums about DRK beining squishy and what most people don't realize is the HW dungeons hit harder and were not over geared like we was for the LV50 dungeons.
Healers don't immediately assume the tank is going to be garbage, regardless of job choice?
I don't play healer, but as a tank, if I'm DFing something then I'm going in with the mindset that nobody on my team knows what they're doing until they prove to me that they do.
I noticed that too even as level 42 minor league White Mage. Some DKs were a lot easier to heal than others. Invariably, the better DKs all had other tank classes/jobs and used their subclass skills.I remember one healer on my way to levelling DRK to 50 literally being like

*snip*"
Off topic:
That insight has lead me to pause leveling gladiator at 17 on my would be paladin character and start leveling marauder to 30 instead. That way, she'll have access to the warrior subset skills as she progresses toward paladinhood. In the end, she'll be able to flip back and forth between two tanking jobs as required plus have all the subclass skills to improve both of her toolkits.
