The Dragoon story sugesstion (spoilers)

Can I hijack this thread to say I did not think the 50-60 DRG storyline was at all relevant to the skills you got?

I would have preferred if the MC got infected with the Dragon blood and had to come to terms with and learn to control it, hence the "Blood of the Dragon" abilities. Instead, an NPC got infected with dragonblood...?

That would make no sense since it only applies to Dragoons with Ishgardian Heritage. It could be argued that the Dragoon's 50+ skills are due to their link to Midgardsormr though.

As for the 30-50 story I don't think they should change it. You could always Simply put its best dealt with with the player seeing it as either a flashback or some type of weird echo thing. pretend its a flashback or something. The problem is that it sets a president that will be harder and harder to match as the content moves forward. What if a character from the MNK story turns up in the MSQ if we go to Ala Mhigo (which would make sense)? If would they have to completely redo the 30 - 60 questing then? The longer it goes the more this becomes an issue.

I could buy it being Midgardsormr's link to us but I would just like the idea of Blood of the Dragon to have been explained lorewise, other than just "Welp here it is enjoy".

As for the thread's actual purpose, I believe it's been said for the most part. The job quests 30-50 canonically take place during the lv30-50 events of ARR as far as I am aware, not after or before, so it's more like an echo than anything else. They don't really need to be touched as the DRG story is also a good intro for Estinien for new players.
