Any new implementation takes months, sometimes up to a year, including conception, design, evaluation and production. Even WoW's "hotfixes" (tiny, server side tweaks) are planned months in advance as discussed in their Coffee Time With The Devs blog.

Now if you're talking about a site posting an announcement that "We want to release a new dungeon soon!" and then said dungeon appears a week later, don't be fooled into thinking that even though they only publicly announced in last week, they haven't been planning it for the past year.

    Way to stir the pot.

You know, the best way I can combat the "slow" argument that those people never get, whether it be that they are intellectually incapable or just plain doesn't want to make rational thoughts being poisoned by the korean flashy grinders, but there is a completely simple reason for the content coming in at the pace that is it.

When you go back to the beginning of January and think, they had to look at the game in it's entirety, look at the content that was in the works being developed --which actually is worked on and planned way in advance and even before the game is launched-- then plan and develop either over what it's foundation is or completely rewrite it. This isn't a normal thing for MMOs. When they are released and it goes well, already in the works prior to that launch is the future content that will be received in patches. Giving enough time for players to get settled and breath and explore this world then implement the content on time to keep them engaged.

FFXIV never had this luxury. This is something that is not a secret. So, why do people ridicule it when they know very well what the reasons are. It is not unreasonable what SE had done when they got the message they f***ed up. I'm getting a little off topic. What I am trying to say is this situation is unlike what most "modern MMOs" are going through. So, why hold that standard to them when it is common knowledge that their development schedule is patch release to patch release? This isn't like other MMOs where they never had to redevelop their game and could work on a very much planned timeline of expected completed and released content.

It's mainly people like Viion, yet he continues to stick around for no reason.

He can't, and he'll gladly ignore you or twist it around to try to make him sound right. It's what he does.

I deny anything negative about FFXIV...? lol Sorry that the MMORPG you like is failing and you can't accept that it's not as good as you think. You really don't read anything I post then, considering I always state that XIV would have been better off building off of FFXI, meaning I'm pretty much stating that there's a lot of negative developments with XIV and even SE admits they screwed up, so think of a better counterarguement that actually makes sense. Also, Tera didn't lose "only 100k koreans" lol, it's constantly losing people which is why they're scrambling and hoping the next 'grand' update stimulates the game. Not to mention over in the Japanese side, many still feel the price is too much for what little the game offers, so unless things heavily change with Tera, it's not in a good state at all. Not to mention the delay into 2012 for the western release wasn't helping it's image nor hype at all. Much like SE with XIV, they're pushing to make the next release "the saving the grace", Tera is actually getting more expensive to develop for than they are actually making in net profit.

    Try harder.

But at least its doing far better than XIV
"But at least it's doing far better than a game well known to be mocked for being released in a poor condition!"

Again, that's basically choosing the lesser of two evils, but considering your hacking ways, I doubt you know what that means.
