A lot of people seem to assume that it's gonna be a huge army vs. 1 NM with the new claim system; who's to say the more people hitting the NM the more backup the NM will call?

Just like you will deny anything negative about XIV. But at least its doing far better than XIV and only lost 100k Koreans, where as XIV lost over half a million worldwide lol. So I think TERA is doing something right! Even had a leave increase and has many more dungeons and strongholds than XIV and its been out less, in less countries, with plenty more people.
Back to the topic though since people like to derail, this content will not be challenging for a long time, the only time it will be challenging is when no one does any of it anymore because then you wont have other people killing your claimed mobs. So it will be a complete zerg/unchallenging content for a good while.
And there wont be zone links as mobs give up after like 5 seconds XD
It only calls for backup from mobs around, regardless of type but i see hear it will be just the beastmen. Also even if more spawned and it came, the NM would due so quick due to 50 people slamming on it, the adds wont mean much.

I seriously need a way to patent the "day 1" phrase and put royalties on that shite. This site alone would make me millions, let alone the other xiv "fan" sites. Its been over a year now dude, we get it, the game sucks.
I'm pretty sure this is just a sample of one you guys.
I'm sure there is at least one for each beast tribe in their respected areas in this patch.
Or at least i'd hope so.
"should of been"
Dear God, why???
Well tbh... I could care less.
Lol I know we get it that person didn't though saying it was useless and doesn't need to be added lol... thats the only reason I stated it

That's probably the most absurd (and presumptious!) statement I've ever heard. Find me one developer commentary/comment/post/blog related to a single MMO of any type that says "So this new content we've just added took us a week." Any new implementation takes months, sometimes up to a year, including conception, design, evaluation and production. Even WoW's "hotfixes" (tiny, server side tweaks) are planned months in advance as discussed in their Coffee Time With The Devs blog.
Now if you're talking about a site posting an announcement that "We want to release a new dungeon soon!" and then said dungeon appears a week later, don't be fooled into thinking that even though they only publicly announced in last week, they haven't been planning it for the past year.
Way to stir the pot.

You know, the best way I can combat the "slow" argument that those people never get, whether it be that they are intellectually incapable or just plain doesn't want to make rational thoughts being poisoned by the korean flashy grinders, but there is a completely simple reason for the content coming in at the pace that is it.
When you go back to the beginning of January and think, they had to look at the game in it's entirety, look at the content that was in the works being developed --which actually is worked on and planned way in advance and even before the game is launched-- then plan and develop either over what it's foundation is or completely rewrite it. This isn't a normal thing for MMOs. When they are released and it goes well, already in the works prior to that launch is the future content that will be received in patches. Giving enough time for players to get settled and breath and explore this world then implement the content on time to keep them engaged.
FFXIV never had this luxury. This is something that is not a secret. So, why do people ridicule it when they know very well what the reasons are. It is not unreasonable what SE had done when they got the message they f***ed up. I'm getting a little off topic. What I am trying to say is this situation is unlike what most "modern MMOs" are going through. So, why hold that standard to them when it is common knowledge that their development schedule is patch release to patch release? This isn't like other MMOs where they never had to redevelop their game and could work on a very much planned timeline of expected completed and released content.
Didn't SE say certain monsters will be claim locked... Don't think people will be gangbanging the NM's, also this update is HUGE. I'm more worried about how long it's gonna take to DL it. lol
for at least the first month this will be a slaughter fest. should make hitting 50 easy on my thm though since i can aoe every target on screen and get xp for everything that dies. If you cant claim the nm either things are gonna get crazy.
hopefully its a maze.
