    No, it wasn't. And no one can know in advance the "cost" as you are trying to re-define it.

    Real example: My wife and I have an HQ Aurum Regis Earing up on the MB for 10 million gil, but that's a number we picked arbitrarily and can change at any time. Someone else has one up for 15 million gil. So if you are saying that potential buyers may not know in advance what number my wife and I would arbitrarily pick ... what's your point?

    This is a game. I could give the Earings away and still be having fun, and having fun is my sole reason for playing FFXIV.

    In my view, the very title of this thread is flawed: there's no "Work vs. Reward" issue in FFXIV, because I don't do any work in FFXIV. To quote Tom Baker's "Doctor:" "Work for? Work for?!? I don't work for anyone, I'm just having fun."
