PLD was behind DRK and WAR in Progression with lack of gear.
Now, with all 200/210 items around, bring pld-drk or war is not a big difference.

We killed a1s and a2s the first week with PLD
We killed a3s in 3 weeks after release with PLD

As i said, unless you started a few weeks ago to cap esoterics. You should able to do the same dps than the players who killed a3s without weapons or only with them and a few drops from alexander.

If you are unable to do it, there are a lot of tools to help you into progression. Parsers and logs, videos of your own raid (watch your movement or raid positions), talk to members to check if strats are being executed correctly.
