No one is queing it even for the bonus so why not just make it a once a day bonus for everyone to have a chance, that is what they are asking. I say just get rid of it, it is not really working anyways.
So... because offering a reward isn't attracting a large amount of tanks into the queue you're suggesting removing the reward entirely to stop the remaining tanks who actually do take advantage of it from bothering to queue? At this point it's already barely an incentive and for some players it's literally the only thing that would convince them to queue in with randoms.

That line of thinking seems counter productive.

    To the OP:

As many have already said there isn't a point to randomizing or changing the bonus as the entire point of it is to try and fill parties. Why offer a bonus to the most played classes already when they aren't in demand? If anything that would make the queues worse off as any tanks and healers that might have gone for the tank bonus will just switch to DPS and no parties will fill at all.

The front page would be filled with threads of DPS waiting in 2 hour queues because the AiN bonus is set to DPS.

I understand the desire for a daily bonus but it doesn't actually benefit the goal of filling parties and encouraging players to queue into content, the Adventurer in Need bonus is supposed to do that.

When something fails its intended purpose its time to modify it, change it, get rid of it, whatever. I personally could care less what it does. As mentioned before once you max level it no longer gives exp, just gill and seals. I've capped seals a thousand times over and the gil bonus, whatever. I could do a FATE get more seals and probably sell what ever I got from a monster drop for about the same. Its not productive if it doesn't produce positive results.

So long the role in need bonus attract at least 1 tank and don't increase the amount of classes not in need it fulfill it purpose. To increase the amount of attracted needed classes the reward have to increase, not the system have to get rid so it decrease the amount of needed classes in the queue even further.

Maybe an additional bonus like doubled normal daily reward (of course also only once each day) minus the roulette exp.

Adding to the cesspit known as the DF. A real tank is going to que it anyways. A person playing tank just for the bonus then in turn probably is sub-par as it is not their main adding to the DF attitude, adding to why there are countless posts about why people don't que the DF anyways. I only run dungeons as a tank but if I didn't, I would rather have someone tanking that wants to be there and isn't just there for the bonus.

So... going on that thought, yes dump the bonus, it attracts undesirables to the class and it may give the real tanks a bad image...oh wait......

This is why the tanking achievement mounts should include DR runs as tank when the AiN is tank, plus toss in a few tomes for crying out loud.

The whole point of the crappy mounts was to reward tanks for helping the community by actually playing as tanks, so why, why in the name of the wee man, does the achievement depend on *end game* tanking, were statics already have their tanks lined up; and not DR where the need for tanks is crystal freaking clear?
