An idea for a future Class/Job

If you remember FFXI's breeding system, it was horrendous, it took A LOT of time, money, and profanity to get the perfect chocobo for what you want, color, stamina, speed, digging, etc....We need bird digging in XIV... Philosopher Stones were an amazing thing to get in large quantities....

I never played FFXI passed level 10 so I don't remember really.

The idea I came up with in this thread though would cost about as much to do as any other craft.
It could also possibly result in a better spending > profit yield than other crafts do, depending on how much time you choose to spend doing it. Even if you didn't spend a lot of time in it though it could still result in a fair amount of profit.

Plus the detail contained in the original posts explain how the system could operate at much the same difficulty as other crafts do, so 'hopefully' it wouldn't result in a large amount of wasted time, money and profanity.

Well, breeding a bird in XI was time consuming, not only did it take 30 irl days for the bird to hatch, you also had to find bird combinations to get your color you wanted, as well as stats to make the bird "better" So you have a 6 month ordeal on your hands to possibly make the best chocobo you can.

Nope, the system I created in this thread could have you breeding awesomesauce chocobos within a month, possibly even a week or two if you spent a lot of time on it.

It also features more 'guaranteed' methods of achieving colour and stats, as well as a few spangly extras.

Y'know it would be easier to communicate the scope of the idea I posted on this thread to you, if you'd just go back and read the original posts.

However I get the feeling your response to that would be something like:
"I do not need to because I am awesome enough to know what it is already,
my 1 gil is worth more than your 1 gil
/10char"

Correct about the gil, but the only thing i have against it is it taking within a month, having it take "longer" makes it more rewarding when you actually get it, it also separates those who want an epic choco to those who really just don't give a shit.

Well yeah but when I said within a month I meant playing for like, 12 hours a day, every day. Hardcore style, y'know?

People who do have a life would obviously take a lot longer to accomplish it, but would probably feel more rewarded for it after their 2/3/4 months of hard work. Besides, I never said it'd be easy to get the ultimate chocobo, if there would be such a thing, though probably not

Ahh, ty for the clarification on that, then, if given that, then that would be a great way to implement it, though, there should be a dubuff called "Bird Stank" that makes NPCs refuse to service you if you're on the class of Choco Breeder lol, well, other than the Breeder NPCs.... just foolin on this one...
