SCH glitch or am I misunderstanding?

Aldo galvanize doubles if you get a crit. So a crit aldo for 4000 would grant an 8000 shield.

But it doesn't even work that way. A 4k adlo adds a 4k galvanize for 8k in total healing, not an 8k shield.
