So you want savage to be easier next tier? That seems a little backwards for what's supposed to be the hardest raid.

No, release Savage and Normal at the same time and don't require completion of normal. Balance it around i210 and force an ilvl sync, problem solved.
But don't that mean they're still gonna grind normal for the gear.
If they don't want to wait for eso at least.
They're just gonna be doing it from the start instead of like now when you gear up some already from the time difference release.
They're just gonna be looking at savage knowing they don't have a chance due to the gear check. Unlike now where you just have to push harder because they already have some pieces of normal gear.

Some people here including me already suggested whole new crafting set that would be on par with the new normal alex set too if melded a bit, not pentamelded. Because currently only pentamelded chests and accessories are worth it and these things are matter of XX Milion gil. That would give people who don't want to farm Normal Alex option to get geared or farm it less and also keep crafters busy.
Honestly I have no idea what you are talking about in both your replies. It seems to me you either haven't even read what I was asking for or misunderstood it. No offense intended in my reply.
I don't want to be able to overgear Savage, I just don't want to farm Normal to be able to do Savage. I don't mind DPS checks, I mind doing the similar content. If there were more types of gear at the same level as Alexander Normal, it could solve that too. The gap might be filled with crafted gear, but please, no pentamelds.EDIT:Then wouldn't a viable solution be to 1) use the same loot system from Savage, in Normal mode, and 2) make crafting worthwhile be having a tier of craftable(without having to gather several cores from neutron stars as materials), meldable gear that with the right melds can be on par with, or slightly exceed the drops in Normal mode?
Of course that would mean making crafting more relevant, and it seems that is far from SEs intent.
I am on my limit so I am going reply like this.
I believe it is not that hard to make pentamelding for some gear unaccesible. They could easily make crafted gear that would allow only 2 materias to be put in it.Yea I don't think SE's gonna give you that after what happened with T13
Besides if they actually give crafted, I'm pretty sure you're gonna have to pentameld it anyway. Because if just one or two melds gives you better gear than normal, it has potential to be better than savage gear if pentamelded.
And SE don't like that it seems.

Wouldn't that keep the difficulty identical to the current one, excluding mechanics? If it's balanced around i210 gear than outgoing damage and dps checks would both have to be near identical, no?
No?... Alexander Savage is currently balanced around i200ish gear.
