We are raiding enemy territory and plundering for loot, that fits into the definition of a raid. You don't get to decide what a raid is. I do agree that it should be one connected thing with trash in between if that's what you're getting at though.

Then what is it then... A BCNM equivalent?
Is it reset Tuesday yet.
I question whether I'm playing a PvE game with PvP mixed in, or I am I playing a PfG.
If people are really as interested in the story as some suggest, I'm gonna say it doesn't matter whether you could or couldn't progress the story with it. Many people bring up the argument of "I wanna experience everything I pay for", so why would this content be an exception?
I'd still run it without any loot, but I think you guys really need to look at it from the developer's perspective. Their goal is to create content that will last 3-4 months, content you run once and never do again isn't viable in that scenario. If people are really as interested in the story as some suggest, I'm gonna say it doesn't matter whether you could or couldn't progress the story with it. I have to wonder if normal mode actually accomplishes this when it's around at the same time as savage. I only ran normal to gear for savage and even then I feel that continually running the normal mode largely served to quicken the burnout of what's really the content that's designed to last those 3-4 months. I think void ark would work better as the extra bit to do in addition to savage than the normal mode alexander ever will, simply because it's entirely different rather than a watered down version of the top raid.
I honestly think normal mode takes away from the longevity of the top raid. Which is why I think it would be better as a one time thing with no gear or just having glamour/catch-up gear at most.

I didn't read the whole thread, because I'm sortof already in a bad mood and I don't want to wind up in a worse mood and have this wind up rather confrontational, but if isn't the point of winning on a harder difficulty supposed to be the triumph of having accomplished the feat? A bit of an extreme comparison, but if you climbed Everest, is it lessened because you can totally get the same view from a plane or a hot air balloon? If I go skiing should I need to go down the hardest hills to get the good hot cocoa from the chalet? I get gear. I mean, using the metaphors above, you are undertaking a greater challenge, you need better gear going up the mountain. Or down it... in the case of skiing. I'd just prefer not to give up the view.
This bickering will never end SE just remove Alexander so ppl can shut up and go back to coil and stay there lol joking
I consider myself semi-hardcore and I stay away from savage not cause it's the same bosses but mainly cause it's just to hard for no reason...I understand it should be hard but geez all classes besides dps get a whole new main role DEEPS cause of savage...I feel like this raid is poisonous causing arguments, horrible unfriendly statics, and a lot of tears lol.
Granted it does bring back memories of old FF games where the boss did like 9999 dmg and you only had like 8k health haha XD..
I'd at least like some unique titles or achievements for the different floors of Savage. Clearing a floor of Savage for the first time is very underwhelming as is.
In my opinion, the normal mode should get released together with the lockout remove of the to this date "current" raid, like it was done with "easing up" coil before.
Yes. People that not raid have to wait to take a look into it.
On the other side, it would be a nice filler between the last content patch and the next expansion (remember the time between 2.55 and HV?).
