    PLD have cleared it. That's what matters. By the time the other 99% of the raiding population gets there, they'll have enough gear that groups can afford many mistakes and still clear it. So, moot point now, IMO.

    Unpopular opinion time: the problem was never with PLD.

    The problem was that Warriors have too much DPS.

    In a progression group, where every scrap of DPS matters, and where gear levels are 10-20 iLvls lower on average than the intended levels, it absolutely makes sense that the tanks that can put out the most DPS will be more desirable. So this means that WAR-DRK reigned supreme during the world-first race, since groups were pushing Alexander: Savage with extremely low gear levels. Since PLD has the lowest DPS, they were pulled from those groups, or given up in favor of WAR or DRK. Now that groups have the gear to make up the DPS difference, it absolutely makes sense that we're seeing PLD clears (though I do wonder, are we seeing any DRK-PLD groups?).

    If WAR were nerfed to be 10-15% more DPS higher than DRK and PLD (instead of the 25-50% that I've seen on some parses), the playing field would be more leveled, and we'd probably see PLD as viable for the world-first race again.

    WAR would still be taken over PLD in every scenario for Storm's Eye/Path. PLD is competing with DRK & cannot do as much DPS as DRK without replacing them due to their higher overall mitigation & utility.

    PLD's miserable single target DPS would be excusable if they had significantly better utility than they currently do. PLD's aoe DPS is inexcusable and feels like a completely pointless hole in the class.
